    You Writing Process...

How do you come about writing your poetry? What's your process.

Usually When I write, I write to music. It seems to help my writing structure and keeps my emotions in control. When I first started writing I would just write and write and write. Run on sentences and everything, shit was just terrible. Writing to music has really helped me over the years. It just keeps my structure on point.

Also when i write I write from emotion first. Get everything off my chest. Then after that i usually go over it with my head and change things around and so on. Blah blah

Usually when I write [poetry] it's because something is bothering me. It'll just come out on the paper like a good bowel movement into the toilet.

When I used to take the time to sit down and write - it'd be somewhat peaceful. Just go somewhere and take in my surroundings..etc

well lately i havent wrote. but i normally it comes from something i need to vent. i write to no music normally but something from a song sometimes triggers me off. i dont know. i just walk around think of lines in my head and write them down and then it flows from there. i rarely edit anything i wrote so what you see of mine is straight from my head

usually i start to drop when something is talkin inside to my spirit..and then i drop it...kinda like lettin it out...sometimes it doesnt necessarily reflect me..but it reflects emotions...i am very colloquial. and i write based on feelings...i dont write outside of that...and i never write outside from within me..so i can elevate..music sometimes gets me more emotional...but silence does alot too..

I write when God says so. Plain and simple. In my 22 years of writing, I've had literally NO control over what I write. But I can surpress the poetry-writing process if I feel it will drain me from my other exploits (for the past 3-4 months or so, I've been writing my album "The Demonstration!") It's like saying I'm protecting my poetic voice so my chops are safe for rap verse writing. With rap, it's more of a business for me than poetry is, so I can write 16 bars on the spot when need be, though I'd rather let God write those too. But I can't, I have to meet deadlines. With Poetry, I'm not concerned with commercialism or sales or even if you like it. My spirit has to like it. If it doesn't, no one sees it.

As of late, you have not seen any new pieces from me.

More than likely, you never will again.

    Not here.

when writing poetry i just clear my mind and start writing, whatever the first incling of a topic that comes to mind, then that is the one that i stick to, i use poetry as a way of releasing my emmotions whereas keystyles i do for fun and to test my skills

Personally, I just sit down, if I feel like writin, I do, and if I don't but need to let it out anyway, I turn on some tunes on the radio or on my CPU, and let them bump for a minute. Then when the sound gets drowned out by my thoughts and I seem to flow on the sound itself, I let loose and write...

To even start writting,i'd have to be in the correct state in myself,so i can reach deep as possible. It always seems the only time i can really write is when it is about 11 at night, all lights off, just a shimmer of light, enough for me to see what im doing.haha thats my process.

To even start writting,i'd have to be in the correct state in myself, everything emotion has to be there so im able to reach its idea as deep as possible. I mean if its forced then its complete crap,so if you have to wait, wait. I write in any kind of atmosphere. I'll write on anything too; tissue, paper, mail, anything. Then I put it in my books, I have like five. I write off emotion; anger, love, confusion, etc.
    helps alot, its like rehabilitation.

as someone else said "pen to pad and let it flow"

And it just turns into whatever usually lol..

Half the time, I will write to music, maybe a a dark beat or something... Christophe Beck got me writing alot, for his music on Buffy lol.

And that Immortal Technique song "You Never Know" really inspired me, especially the beat alone.
