    Championship Match

    Vern Acular vs. JoWelz

JoWelz came into this match with a very realistic story. To me
it was something positive to read an I hope all of you did just
that. the story focused on a kid who was just like one of us,
then got sucked into the vicious drug world that so many of us
today go through. U ask.. well how is this positive? well,
because JoWelz explained how when the kid grew older that his
consequences for using the drug were taking effect an ended up
a nobody. a very nice read.

Vern responded by focusing on a story regarding a girl who
moved in close to him who was at one time the perfect girl who
somehow ended up falling into the wrong crowd an messing her
life up to the point no one liked her. In the end himself being
the bad presence that graced the women. the way Vern wrote the
story was very vivid an had a stupendous flow. He took the win
    over JoWelz.

    Contendership match

    Baron God vs. Tha Talent

    3. Baron focused his topic around the 4 horsemen of the
apocalypse.. now me personally loved this cuz i don’t know shit
about that kind of stuff..but anyway baron used a great vision
of thought an made it so each horseman was tied to an actual
event in the news today. the flow was there.. but this was
in fact a topical an had no real plot which when put up against a
story as to where a reader can get in touch with the story, it
usually fails. still a great read though.

    4. Tha Talent indeed came at baron with one of his usual
descriptive an formal stories that he is so good at writing.
people had said his wording was that of poetry yet flowed so
smoothly an others said how wonderfully he brought out the old
man he was talking about. in the end Tha Talent was victorious

    Infinite Truth vs. Atheist

    5. Infinite Truth came into this with like ten different topics
lol an like he said himself im sure u had to have read it twice
to fully understand it. truth come at the reader in a original
aspect an his format is that of some song lyrics.. but he pulled
out the win this week so he must be doing something right.

    6. now Atheist had a great story, it was detailed an could tell
he had a picture of what he was writing before he started
writing. the story talked about being a taxi driver who ended up
driving home a girl who was a ghost that people had been
searching for. it was something i myself enjoyed reading, an
although he took the loss this week, i look forward to reading
what he has to bring to the table next.

    Wise Punchlines vs. Richard Corey

    7. Wise came with a deep topic this week. his story talked about
what is what like growing up in a dysfunctional family, where the
dad abused his mom an him. I can tell u right now this was a
very good read an i hope all of you read it, for I personally haven't
seen this topic touched in such manner. it was really eye opening
    and a pleasure to read.

    8. Richard Corey came at the reader on some utopia sci fi type
shit.. i only skimmed the verse, but from what i read others say
about it this was a dope read and the way RC uses words to
describe things happening is one of a kind.. keep your eye on
this guy for he has a tuff match this next week going against
none other then Infinite Truth..RC he was your winner for the week.

    Patriarch vs. Dah Lohner

    9. Patriarch wrote a good story about a fight that broke out in
the woods an drifted elsewhere to where, you’ll have to go read
about it to find out.. Dah lohner no showed this week, giving
Pat the easy advance into next weeks competition. hopfully he doesnt
have to waste another verse on a no show.

    Erykah Caine vs. Art WritaZ

    11. Erykah cane came with a poetic type feeling to the story
this week. it enlightened peoples eyes and gave people such as
Tha Talent a respective outlook on this, claiming it was some of your
best work. it looks as though you have def improved since last time i
have read any of your work. congradualations on being a top competitor
    in the league.

    12. Art Writaz told the story of a black man which involved a
paranoia plot. people were comparing it to another person in the
leagues story saying it was similar.. unfortunately that person
won their match an Art lost his. seen as though he signed out for the
next week.. i hope to see him back in the rstl soon.

    Desenuts vs. Ssenlli

    13. Dese told the story of a jihad army guy who ends up getting
captured.. the story was good an majority of the readers who
read it enjoyed the piece. comming off a loss in the previous week
dese needed this win.. and he got it with a great story.

    14. Ssenlli was once thought of as one the best.. even beating
people who have been called one of the best. now the rumors
spread that he doesn’t got it anymore.. well i happened to enjoy
his story, unfortunately he didn’t get a win out of it this week.

    Stayt Of Mynd vs. Pinnacle

    15. Stayt of mynd delivered a pretty nice story an scared off
his opponent pinnacle this week. i didn’t get a chance to read it,
but from his record im guessing he is someone to keep your eyes
    on in the ongoing weeks.

    Doc Evil vs. Insanity

both these guys came into the week using the same topics.. i am
familure with both these writers an i know both of them are very
good at what they do, judging by the votes they got in their
match this was a pretty close match an it came down to
preference which resulted in Doc Evil taking the win for the
week. Im not sure this was an upset on insanity's part but i know
Doc deserves the win, as the ex champ moves one step closer to taking
    another crown.

    One's Abyss vs. Muti

    20. Muti was the only one with the balls to show this week,
posting a story about getting his girl pregnant.. the funny
thing is that the girl he gets pregnant is his sister..lol good
shit. Muti will be advancing in the ranks.

    21 Anaphora 4-0 vs. 22 Unavailable 33-20

Here's Anaphora with a small unblemished record going up against Unavailable who's got a mighty record and a seasoned vet around here. Unfortunately, Unavailable didn’t really show up lyrically this match, coming with a lackluster verse that a lot of voters bitched about. They said it was difficult to follow and understand, which really hurt. Anaphora, on the other hand, came with a dope verse. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this in the Top Ten of the week. The flow was dope, the imagery was dope, overall piece = dope......this match had an easy victor in Anaphora result - Anaphora wins

    23 In Awe 4-0 vs. 24 Lokternal 5-2

I was actually looking forward to writing about this battle and seeing if these two kids can show me their skills, cause up until now I haven’t' read anything be either of them. Lok wrote on the "noises from the basement" topic and got the no show here cause in awe didn't key up anything like he said he would. result - lokternal wins by no show

    25 Surface 3-0 vs. 26 Key Low 3-0

Surface sniffed a no show by key low, and predicted it correct.....he just came with 4 lines of nothing, and key low was a bitch and no showed. result - surface wins by no show

    27 EyeDiLL 3-1 vs. 28 Harlequin 2-0

Well since eyedill didn't even post in the thread at all, no check in and no verse, too bad how harle came away with a win from a really heartfelt verse that was close to home for him. I'm sure he'd like some feedback, too bad he's not gonna get it this week, good job. result - Harlequin wins by no show

    29 StiffaZ 2-0 vs. 30 MindzEye 3-2

Here's two relatively unknown heads trying to get their names out and raise through the rankings, but only one person can win a battle so lets look at this. Stiffaz chose the Virgin in the red light district topic, not my favorite topic but he pulled it off very well, writing about the virgin's dream, how she was reluctant to lose her virginity and the struggle she went through. A nice verse, but it had its flaws in the rhyming aspect in my opinion, but he still pulled out the win. Mindzeye chose the pregnancy topic but didn’t executed it very well. He wrote about the most standard verse you can think up when you write about this topic, and he didn't come with enough emotion to pull out the win. result - Stiffaz wins

    31 5 Starre 5-4 vs. 32 Cereal Killer 4-4

Both of these heads are just struggling to keep a winning record and move up the rankings. Cereal chose the 4 characters topic to write about, the crack head, the loner, gangsta and goody girl. He came with a solid verse and a dope plot, he had good descriptions and pulled off the story pretty well. Starre didn't shine bright enough this week cause he came with a played out plot and concept, but he did have a lot of emotion in it. After some close voting, cereal killer pulled it out at the end with his more consistent and complete verse result - cereal man wins

    33 JuJ.ewBea 2-1 vs. 33.5 Everkleer 2-2 vs. 34 Molosovich 1-1

Here's a three way match, beating two people at once might help one of these in getting some credit around here and a way to showcase their skills. Ju••• came with an alright verse, some of the voters complained about the inconsistency with the rhyming, and the hurt the flow and swayed votes away from him. He chose a dope topic though, the present day nastradamous and had some good ideas in it. Malo certainly showed up nicely this week, he had a very nicely written story, staying on topic great and keeping everyone interested. No big flaws here that I see. Everkleer only came "ok" with the ghetto infested slum topic, a decent choice IMO. His bars were really stretched out and if you do that, you gotta have a dope rhyme scheme, unfortunately for him he didn’t have that. I'd say he placed a second place in this battle, barely edging Ju••• for 3rd. If Molo can keep his skills consistent he might make a name for himself around here. result - molosovish wins

    35 Chase Murda 1-0 vs. 36 Macabre 1-0

Both these kids showing up with a 1-0 record, both new and both have yet to prove themselves, and both have some potential to be respected heads around here ina month or so. Macabre came with a very insightful verse, utilizing a lot of dope vocab and interesting descriptions. He used questions in his verse to add an aspect of confusion even within himself, something that i really like. He did the waking in a new dream each time topic, but in my opinion was searching too hard for a twist at the end and sorta killed the verse for me, making the questions come a from a teacher in class, a bit lackluster for my taste. Chase's verse was much more simple, flow and vocab wise. His bars were very long and inconsistent witch actually hurt the flow of the piece in my opinion. His plotline was wavering at points, sometimes going off into long descriptions that weren’t needed. Macabre came away with this close battle with a more consistent and better written verse result - Macabre wins

    37 Mobbs 1-0 vs. 38 SeQueL 1-0

Two people here just getting started in this league and won last week, too bad Mobbs no showed in this match. Sequal came with a few bars just to get the no show victory result - Sequel wins by no show

    39 Knight 0-1 vs. 40 Tactics 0-1

Last week both of these guys got the short straw and lost their battles. Knight doesn't show up like a bitch for this match up and tactics dropped a full verse to get the easy no show victory result - Tactics by no show

    -------------------------

this concludes our top 40 Review of the week. I would like to thank Doc for helping out this week on so short notice. Big ups man.
