Damn, if I had to extend my list to 20 or make a post-2000 list, then Zion I would definitely be on it... and Blackalicious.

True & Livin' was one of the best albums of the '00s.

These are the groups I'm listening to most at the moment, in order. Keep in the mind that I stopped checking for new artists in 2011, so there might be some incredible groups that have emerged in the last 2 years that I've not heard of. I do intend to listen to more new rappers.

    1) Blue Scholars
    2) Cyne
    3) People Under the Stairs
    4) Common Market
    5) Outkast
    6) Chiddy Bang
    7) Naughty By Nature
    8) Looptroop Rockers
    9) A Tribe Called Quest
    10) Zion I

I swear when I heard the start of that beat the first time I was amazed, even though it's not so complex. Idk which sample it is but it sounds great for me.

I honestly think you can put ANY rapper's acapella on that beat and it would be a dope joint.

Jmt and dpg are both top 10 contenders but slaughterhouse are wack, the hrsmn were a much better super group.

    that's a nice beat, can't front @
    ThatsNotMyName

this statement makes absolutely zero sense.
pretty sure you barely even heard much of Slaughterhouse therefore i can't take your opinion seriously.
HRSMN got ONE "album" which isn't even a real album and that shit was dope but lmaoooo at the comparison.
you're just hatin' for the fact of hatin'. no basis or ground.

I used hrsmn as an example as they barely put anything out yet were still far superior. Im yet to hear one quality slaughterhouse track, they should all stick to solo work except from buddens, he should just retire.

Post a couple of good slaughterhouse tracks, everything ive heard has been very average.

okay, i'll post some later in the day.

my point is, it's hard for any of us to say what's wack and what isn't if we haven't heard the material.

I heard SH's shit and damn. I think each one of them are really dope, except Joell, I personally don't like Joell, fuck Joell.
But together they are not cohesive enough, they don't match that well, it's average. Competing against other groups, they are not that good imo, they are good though, they are dope emcees so it's not wack either.

one of the greatest rap groups of all time, easy.

it's hard for most Hip Hop purist to accept this because the group is relatively new.

    they've earned it.

That whole album is a classic, honestly... it's out of print, too.

I've got that original song that was sampled on "Luchini (This Is It)"... funky!
