    No fucking kidding...

Goes to a team to give him the best chance of getting to the playoffs and they might not even make it.

how so? he almost has the record for most career wins, 3365 strikeouts, 3.15 career era, and 4 cy youngs (which were won in 4 consecutive years). don't even bother saying roger clemens is better because he's not. maddux never used steroids and had to cheat to get an advantage. maddux = best pitcher of all time. hell he did all of that without throwing a single fastball 90 mph or better.

oh yea he did it all during the hitters era too and endured the steroids era as well. just imagine how dominant he would've been back when the fences were further back and the mound was 6 inches higher.

ALMOST has the record for career wins? He is 158 wins behind the career record.

Maddux is one of the greats but he isn't the greatest of all time, I would go with Walter Johnson. As far as this era he is right there with Randy Johnson

ive seen maddux hit 91 on the gun but besides that

look at how many wins he got in the twilight of his career throwing seasons over a 4.00 era

i mean i can give him cred for his relative consistency and longevity, to me hes more like emmit smith than barry sanders

and i probably meant more like 10 than 20

i would put koufax, gibson, rocket, ryan, pedro (3 cy youngs 2 seconds and a 3rd; 2.91 career era) ahead of him and you still got guys like unit, carlton ,sutton, seaver, palmer, feller i mean its debatable but IMO i cant give him BEST OF ALL TIME

really? even though he cheated and used steroids? in my mind that alone takes clemens out of the top 10 discussion all together.

yo, not to knock anybody i'm just asking a question.

don't you find it less fulfilling to root for two teams in the same sport?

    just sayin...

you know my name you dont wanna be like MLML do you?

anyway, when did i sit and say the cards were gonna win anything this year?

im a fan, but im not delusional and i can accept when my team isnt the best, *cough*

we were competitive, moreso than a whole lot of analysts thought we would be

we will be a similar team next year, maybe a little better in the pitching department

shiiiiit son we have enjoyed many good years here in the lou, we have been blessed with a team that is always competitive and usually in the playoffs

one of the sports elite franchises.... no complaints here
