    No you are just being sensible; we are talking about the US government, an organization that couldn't keep a blow job under wraps, staging the greatest conspiracy in the history of mankind and nothing coming out in over a decade, right in the midst of the explosion of the information age.

    Sorry for not responding to ravenous' post but we are getting way off topic and its taking too long to go into everything.

    Look, you can call me a "conspiracy theorist" or "paranoid" or overly suspicious, or whatever you'd like, but the basis for my logic in believing that 9/11 was essentially a false flag operation has to do with my knowledge of the U.S. government's track record when it comes to the manufacture of consent for war.

    I've made this statement many times on here before, but every major war the U.S. has entered into since its inception has been under false pretenses. The people have been manipulated into believing falsehoods as reasons for every war since the one that supposedly "freed" us from British rule, (the Revolutionary War).

    >Lets just start with WWI;

    The U.S. entered into World War I after the Lusitania was sunk, but even the Wikipedia page on the Lusitania explains how it was actually sent into German U boat infested waters without a naval escort when it was known to be carrying materials for war, (ammo, etc), so it was well within the rights of the Germans to sink it, however, at the time, the incident was disseminated through Western media as being the sinking of an innocent passenger vessel. It did in fact have over 1500 civilian passengers on board who perished when it was sunk, and like I said, it was sent knowingly into German U boat infested waters carrying war materials without a naval escort.

    So....if you take pride in thinking that "your government just wouldn't do that" when considering whether or not it had a hand in 9/11...don't be so sure...because it has already engaged in such actions in the past.

    >World War II;

    The Japanese code had already been broken well before bombs were dropped on Pearl Harbor and a bomb plot message pertaining to Pearl Harbor was decoded by American code breakers and delivered to FDR's cabinet, but they did nothing to prepare the Pearl Harbor naval installation for such an attack. Also, as the Japanese aircraft carriers were approaching Hawaii on their way to deliver the Pearl harbor attack which provided the impetus for American entry into World War II, they broke radio silence and these radio communications were picked up by an American merchant vessel's radio operator and he relayed that information to the U.S. military, and still nothing was done to warn the naval installation at Pearl Harbor.

    You might say the U.S. government knew of the attack beforehand, and simply chose to "let it happen".....sound familiar?

    >The Gulf of Tonkin incident which manufactured consent among the public for America to enter Vietnam...do I really need to go into that?

    >Operation Northwoods...(although it was never carried out, the fact that it was proposed is suspect enough for me)..

    My point is that the U.S. government has a sordid history of concocting these reasons to go to war, because without periodic wars, the economy begins to flounder...America is the largest weapons and arms producing country in the world...knowing this, is it really so difficult to believe that the corporate and financial elite of this country could possibly be conspiratorial war mongers?

    And I'm literally laughing out loud at the idea that because Clinton got outed for getting blown by Monica Lewinsky in the white house that false flag operations would never be able to be "kept under wraps"...

    The President is nothing more than a figurehead...he's doing the bidding of the people who truly run the coutry and if he tries to go his own way, he gets his name drug through the mud, or worse...that's all the Monica Lewinsky "scandal" was about...

    If the "powers that be" wanted Clinton out then how come he stayed in office after one of the best recovery media campaigns in history?

    or maybe a young girl got attracted to a man in power, got involved, regretted it and went to the media for revenge.....
    But ya the manifestation of a power struggle of monolithic financial institiutions withing the polical sphere played out in well orchastrated smear campaigns sounds convincing too!

    Dude....Lewinsky never went willingly to the media....she talked to her co worker Linda Tripp about her relationship with Clinton, and Linda Tripp then betrayed her trust and disclosed that information to Kenneth Starr, an independent council who was "appointed", but actually commissioned by certain right wing business interests to investigate Clinton in regards to Whitewater which was really nothing more than a smear campaign against Clinton......he was already well into his investigative smear campaign when Tripp approached him with the Lewinsky info...

    Occam's razor is a wonderful theory to apply when it's correct...it sucks when things get more complicated though, doesn't it?

    That makes a lot of sense. I've never debated somebody like you, if left to your own devices you talk utter bile but if you are sufficiently pushed you talk a lot of sense :cheesin:

    Ummmmm.....no....I think you just needed me to explain myself which I have...

    I feel I have sufficiently backed my conclusion that war is essential to the American economic model, and though I obviously can't prove that 9/11 was an inside job or a false flag operation, I definitely feel that I have logically argued my point to the degree that any rational person should at least seriously consider my perspective on the whole mess...

    Don't start throwing insults, homie....I haven't insulted you once throughout our conversation....

    If you want to provoke me into hurling a volley of calumnious insults, don't...I am highly adept at it...
