I was listening to some old styles p and his tracks with alchemist are fire so it got me thinking about how well certain collabs always turn out.

Im not talking about mc/producer groups or duos, so no gangstarr or eric b and rakim etc. Just artists who hook up to cook up that fire, full albums are cool just not groups since we all know those.

Styles n alch, blaq poet n premo, ruste juxx and marco polo are probably my favourite combos i can think off outside the obvious ones but theres a huge number of dope combos. Jay z is a killer on premo beats and mr green and pacewon are really nice together aswell. I feel like premo brings out the best out of every single artist he works with and tailors beats for them without moving too far from his sound but alch is moving up to be my favourite producer at the moment though.

Jay needs to give premo a call asap.

What are your favourite producer and mc combos?

Premo should be excluded because he just kills it with whoever he works with.

Action Bronson & Harry Fraud (Even though I also liked Bronson with Alchemist, Statik and even Party Supplies -btw why isn't Party Supplies making more beats besides that mixtape, Tapas was sick)
I heard Unorthodox by Joey Bada$$ and Premo and damn. A full album of Joey with Premo and it will sound awesome.

Slightly tenuous perhaps, but Game and Just Blaze is always a wipe-out.

but really in all fairness, premo makes soooo many darn beats for a bunch of virtually unkown rappers, or at lest he has.......Alch does this too, and one has to be able to not either ruin a beat of theirs, or realize that they did not put anything special into it......Premo is so prolific, and he will give or sell beats to heads that cannot control them......Alchemist did an ep with a friend of mine, who is good, but I was really shocked he gave as many beats as he did......there was nothing really great about the beats either, but it came out well.......shit he made one for hollow mixtape

Nu, neptumes and clipse, I state as an exception to that group rule......timbo and missy, oh fucking hi-tech and anyone as well....

Its because they are trying to put on for hip hip, trying to get people some shine....the djs care a whole lot more about hip hop than the mcs from what i can tell.

For some reason the big mc's are too retarded to realise a alch/premo produced album would shit on the majority of their cateloge.

So people have named a lot of really dope ones.

One that came to mind that hasn't been named is Charles Hamilton and Dilla.

I usually hate Hamilton, but his shit over Dilla is pretty banging.
