Your ADOBE AUDITION Presets Needed Badly: Vocal Quality/Mastering

    I just got the trial version of adobe audition

    I've been working with cool edit for yrs now and i just can't get my quality to sound good

    I don't know how...everybody says my quality sucks, but im nice!!!

    I need tips, because this is what i did:

    1) normalize
    2) pop/click
    3) hiss reduction
    4) compression (Internet Delivery)
    5) Chorus (5 Voices)

    i've never normalized vocals. instead make sure you're recording with a good enough signal so everything is loud & clear without distorting. as far as the pop/click eliminator in audition, never run it on the entire file. instead, when you solo the file, switch to the "spectral" view which will show you exactly where the spikes in the audio are. that way you can highlight and fix each individual one. when it comes to compression and all that other stuff, it varies from track 2 track.
