I'm getting leaner, putting on muscle too, my weight went up 5 Lbs.

But my strength numbers have dipped slightly.

    Puzzling IAH.

What time span? You might be just lean bulking, while adding lean tissue you are decreasing bodyfat percentage at the same time.

Less calories. Did you switch up your routine to higher reps which allows size to go up instead of low reps which build strength?

Tell me that you did not just insinuate that low reps don't build size...

Depleted glycogen stores and insufficient blood glucose levels. Low carb can also reduce your testosterone levels.

Weight training uses carbs as the preferred energy source, which is stored as glycogen.

They obviously do (powerlifters), but for superior size growth, a higher rep range would be better.

That's wrong, nothing's going to put on more size than high weight with low to moderate reps.

yeah. higher reps just cut you more. lower reps with higher weight will build and grow more muscle.

No, I think whole grains are overrated.

I avoid anything having to do with grains at all.

No bread, pasta, rice or anything that resembles them.

My carbs are from vegetables (no potatoes) and any carbs that may inherently be in meats.

TBH I'd rather be at 20g or less carbs, but I haven't really made the proper I guess grocery changes yet.

I need to stock up on vegetables, meat, and lots of almonds, peanuts, etc..

Once the warm weather starts coming around again, I'll make sure to be further down on carbs.

I hope anyways, it's kind of complicated.

Cause I'm gonna want to be doing cardio, so IDK how much carbs exactly I'm gonna need.

Only time I crave anything is when I'm slacking.

If I don't immediately wake up and make myself breakfast, I inevitably eat stuff I'm not supposed to.

Other than that, I feel great.

Do you believe in working out in the morning being the best time to burn fat?

Nah, I work out any time.

The only time I'm not really to crazy about working out is late at night cause I can't sleep.

But I still do that if I have to.

You better increase your fat intake Thrizzy, if you're going to cut your carbs down below 20g.

    You will need it.
