if you wanna add this info to your site....some people may find it useful...especially since you want everyone to stop using cool edit :)

this is info on getting the sb live! soundcard to work with cubase sx with very very little latency

first a person needs the kxproject drivers from www.kxproject.com
then this info right here http://au.geocities.com/kxcubase

i got down to 5.3ms latency, which is very good for a sblive

if this isn't useful to ya, disregard, may help someone else

man how did you uninstall your sblive software...

iv got no uninstall option... so i reinstalled it.. and still no uninstall option... so i found 2txt files that were in an uninstall folder under the creative folder... they had loads of uninstall paths... so i made a batch file that ran all the paths and everything seemed ok.. so restarted the comp and i kept getting a vsynthd.vxd blue screen error it said to reinstall the setup prog...

windows doesnt start now so i gotta safe mode it with cdrom enabled and reinstall the creative software shit...

    wtffffff??

how did you uninstall your creative software?

honestly, i didn't uninstall my sblive stuff...i just installed these drivers right on top, and it worked fine....however if you want to uninstall it, first start by uninstalling the drivers for it:

    1. control panel>system
    2. click the hardware tab
    3. click on "Device Manager"
    4. expand the tree for "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers"
    5. find the selection for your creative sblive and double click it
    6. a window will popup...click on the drivers tab
    7. click uninstall driver

that should take care of that...that should take care of what you need

you can go to run>and enter "msconfig" and uncheck everything that has something to do with sblive software

now you should be able to install your new stuff just fine
