Gave her a real biased chance when I was searching for good female comedians, she isn't bad. The joke was okay. Felt like a set up.

Glad she didn't apologize. America is soft compared to any normal Brit panel show.

Not backing down from a Pearl Harbor joke isn't that impressive. The PC patrol will let you live for taking a jibe at veterans.

I doubt she'd be getting unanimous support in this thread had she gone at a more cherished victim group.

How would you have felt if Don Imus or Kramer refused to apologize after their media firestorms

I don't think they were obligated to apologize in the first place.

well, to be fair, it'd prolly be a slightly different reaction if this comedian was japanese, but yeah, you're pretty much right.

Jim Norton had a great fuckin segment on this. let me see if I can find it.

edit: can't find it. anyway check out his newest standup on Netflix. he goes off about people expecting apologies. perfect way to describe my feelings on the topic.

I think I know what you're talking about. He and Patrice both have good bits on public outrage.

IMO the best reaction I've heard to public outrage was a group of comics reacting to Kramer and either Rock or Chapelle summarised it with "All I thought was 'wow my niggas having a tough set".

Chapelle on being half comedian, half black. Kramer's wasn't really a joke though, he just lost it on some hecklers.

Norton talked about how Tosh had to apologize because some girl yelled at him during a show for making fun of rape, and he said "I hope you get raped" but then had to apologize because it may have cost him his sponsors and show. Norton was like "that's the greatest comeback I've ever heard!"

    good standup bit.
