    Yeah, it took me a long time to get through to people that compound exercises are actually working other muscles, but they wouldn't listen at first because the roid head next to us would say something different and be working on his biceps at the times we were there


    Free weights, very important.


    The routines I've done and researched have been very good but I am going to incorporate 1 5x5 session which will last around 4/5 weeks in my next schedule, just to see what type of affects (if any) it will have to what I normally do in that segment.


    5x5 is good when you've hit a plateau or are a beginner.

    i been hittin the gym myself for 2 yrs..my stats (im 6'0 175)

    bench: 195
    deadlift: 205
    curl: 70 bar and 45 dumbbells
    squats: 145
    military: 90

    very weak, I been out a year, and I'm 170 at the mo, and I'm 6ft 3, also an ecto lol.

    Hopefully muscle memory will help me out, but it's guna take me a while to get up to 185 with 8%bf again.

    One time I didn't follow it properly and I fucked up my tenons in my groins, I loved doing squats too. I overtrained and didn't take care of my self for 2/3 weeks.

    Warm up and cool down! We have free national health but they won't operate unless I can't walk. Just have to get back into it slowly, but I'm going to design my own programme to help me get back, just going to see how it goes and if it works I'll be onto health magazines lol.

    By the way I've seen GSP's routines and I wish I could do them, dudes about as ripped and strong as you can get at 190-195lbs whilst fighting at 170, shits insane.

    He's incorporated olympic lifting exercises now to get even stronger, he was 185, now he's around 195 and more explosive, if that's possible. Although he will most certainly take some shit for recovery, cos what they put their body through is insane, also the amount of calories atheletes eat is crazy too.
