Takeover is leaps beyond Ether in my eyes. I'll give Ether the advantage of having more hatred behind it's words, but it was filled with "i have a gun and i'll shoot you" thug banter. Plus alot of that shit Nas said is either some "up in the air" shit or just straight up made up. Takeover was like a summation of what alot of Nas fans have felt deep inside but wouldn't say out loud.

Hit em up & No Vasaline are the 2 top diss songs ever. I prefer No Vasaline over Hit em up...

Ice Cube & Pac said things in those song that were never put to record before....

Younger kids will never understand the Impact Pac & Ice Cube had on hip hop as a whole..

    Its a shame...

And once again I'll tell someone to stfu. I'm 28 years old and I was around when Ice Cube and when Tupac came out and, the fact that I don't think Hit Em Up was one of the top diss songs of all times doesn't mean I don't "understand the impact Pac & Ice Cube had on hip hop as a whole."

I'm a celibate, converted muslim who thinks sex is overrated and find no need to get laid or fornicate anytime soon. I have no problem expressing my true opinions on simple-minded folks who can't buy a clue if someone threw it at their eyes.

I've heard all those 'dis' tracks listed. I think there are quite a few other tracks that are better 'disses' but overall the list is pretty good.
I think Eazy-E - Real Muthaphuckkin' G's should be above Dr Dre and Snoop - Dre Day only because Eazy was getting paid from that track lol.

I like Pac's 'When we Ride on our Enemies' track...went hard at Mob Deep and Fugees lol.

But yeah, most that I know would agree that 'Hit em Up' comes at you point blank. A lot of diss tracks sound like they just making fun of somebody and only half way meaning it. 2Pac's 'Hit em up' did have emotion in it and you can almost feel the rage....so u gotta believe it instilled fear into Bad Boy. And who knows, this very track might have had a direct effect on the Pac/Biggie murders...possibility. <Shrug>

I can't believe I'm saying this, but SuperUgly is terribly underrated.

And why the hell did Pac go at Mobb Deep, anyways?

Most magazines are terribly Biased that I don't bother reading much of them anymore as far as this type of shit goes. I just draw my own conclusions.
