Bad Blood, the first Raw only Pay-per-view event, opened without the long WWE video that usually opens a PPV.

The Dudley Boyz vs. Rodney Mack & Christopher Nowinski opened the show. They reaired the bit from Heat where Nowinski tried to convince D-Von that his brother was holding him down. Mack and Nowinski were accompanied by Teddy Long. D-Von and Mack started out, with D-Von hitting a flying clothesline and back elbow. The fans were chanting for tables early. Nowinski tagged in, and D-Von hit a drop toe hold. Bubba tagged in, and grabbed Nowinski in a headlock. Bubba hit a shoulderblock and worked over Nowinski in the corner. Mack clotheslined Bubba from the apron. Bubba took back over on Nowinski, hitting a back elbow. Mack came in, but Bubba whipped him into Nowinski and splashed both in the corner while D-Von held them in place. Nowinski fought back on Bubba, but D-Von tagged in and hit a clothesline. Bubba followed with a splash, and D-Von covered for a two count. Mack tried to pull Nowinski out of a corner, but D-Von clotheslined him. Mack tripped D-Von from the floor, and pulled him groin first into the ringpost. Mack then tagged in, and worked over D-Von while holding him in a reverse chinlock. D-Von battled back, but Mack hit a spinebuster for a two count. Nowinski tagged in and hit a splash on D-Von for a two count. Nowinski missed a second rope elbow. Bubba tagged in and hit a series of clotheslines and a backdrop on Nowinski. Mack ran in, and Bubba tossed him from the ring. Bubba hit a sideslam, but Nowinski headbutted out of a Bubba Bomb attempt. Bubba hit a bodypress off the second rope on Nowinski. Mack ran in, but D-Von clotheslined him to the floor. Nowinski tried to hit Bubba with the mask, but Bubba ducked and hit the flip, flop and fly. Mack grabbed Bubba in the Blackout, but Bubba escaped. Bubba and D-Von hit the What's Up headbutt on Mack. Bubba told D-Von to get the tables, and Long jumped on the apron to tell him not to. D-Von hesitated, allowing Mack to clothesline him out of the ring. Nowinski ran in and hit Bubba with his metal mask, while the referee was not looking. Mack was fighting D-Von on the floor, and Nowinski covered Bubba for the pin at the seven minute mark. Nowinski, Mack and Long ran to the back following their win.

The spins of the wheel that determined the events for the Redneck Triathlon were recapped. Terri was in the back to host the first event in the Triathlon, a Burping Contest. Steve Austin was eating a hotdog and drinking a beer. Austin and Eric Bischoff were going to be given three burps, with the longest and loudest getting the win. Bischoff went first, with a short burp. Austin then, after showing intense concentration, gave a long and loud belch. Bischoff then gave a longer belch, but Austin was still ahead of him. Austin drank some more beer, but gave a weaker one than his first attempt. Bischoff then did some karate poses, and delivered a very long belch. Austin drank again, but was taking the contest very seriously. Austin then delivered a huge belch. I mean, HUGE. Austin was proclaimed the winner of the burping contest. Austin goes up 1-0 in the Redneck Triathlon.

Test vs. Scott Steiner, with the managerial services of Stacy Keibler up for grabs, was next. Test and Steiner came out alone. Stacy then made her entrance, and didn't seem very concerned about her fate as she came out. Test stopped her from entering the ring, and Steiner jumped at Test from the apron, but slipped and clipped Test's leg instead. Steiner pounded Test on the floor, then in the ring, and did some pushups. Test went to the floor, and threw Stacy towards Steiner, enabling him to get an advantage. Test tossed Steiner into the ring steps, then into the ring. Test stomped Steiner, then trash talked Stacy, telling her "Wait, till tonight". Test pounded on Steiner, while the fans chanted "You suck" at Test. Test hit a clothesline in the corner and slammed Steiner. Test then did some pushups, and put Steiner in a sleeper. Steiner fought out, but Test hit a back elbow. Test went to the top rope, but Steiner caught him as he came off and hit a Northern Lights suplex. Steiner hit a pair of clotheslines, then caught a Test leapfrog and planted him with a powerslam. Steiner hit some chops in the corner, and followed with punches. Test came back, reversing a whip into a full nelson slam for a two count. Test went for a pumphandle slam, but Steiner floated over. Test missed a boot to the face and Steiner hit a reverse DDT for a two count. Test floated over a slam and shoved Steiner into the corner. Test hit a pumphandle slam for a two count. Test went to rip the cover off a turnbuckle. Stacy got on the apron to stop her, and Test grabbed her. Stacy slapped him. Steiner charged Test, and Test ducked, but Steiner stopped short of hitting her. Test hit Steiner with a big boot for a pair of two counts. Test went to the floor for a chair. Stacy tried to stop him, but Test shoved her down. Test got in the ring with the chair, but Steiner ducked twice. On the second swing, Test hit the ropes, and the chair bounced back into his face. Steiner then delivered the Flatliner (legsweep into faceplant) for the pin in seven minutes. Steiner gets Stacy. Steiner practically gave her a wedgie when he hugged her. Steiner lifted Stacy on his shoulder as they left together.

Backstage, Eric Bischoff and Steve Austin talked about the Redneck Triathlon. The next contest was the Pie Eating contest. Bischoff said he had done some research for this contest, and led Austin into a room with four lovely ladies, who will be the "pie" for the contest. They two then argued over who would get to go first. Austin finally agreed that Bischoff could go first, but that he got to pick which "flavor" he would taste first.

Christian vs. Booker T for the Intercontinental Title was next. Christian's IC Battle Royal title win was recapped as he came out. Booker got a huge ovation from his hometown crowd as he came out. Christian begged off early, then caught Booker with an armdrag. Booker grabbed a headlock, but Christian hit a shoulderblock. Christian leapfrogged Booker, but Booker reversed a hiptoss and went back to the headlock. Booker took Christian down to the mat with the hold, then went to a front facelock. Christian hit some shoulderblocks to the midsection in the corner. Booker leapfrogged Christian and hit a high backdrop for a two count. Christian put on the breaks on a whip to avoid a spinkick, but Booker hit a spinebuster. Christian went to the apron and poked Booker in the eyes. Christian yanked Booker neck first across the top rope. Christian took it to the floor, ramming Booker into the ringsteps. Christian applied a rear chinlock in the ring. Booker battled up, but Christian hit a back elbow. Christian jumped off the second rope, but Booker caught him with a flapjack. Booker hit a series of punches and a reverse bodypress, then delivered a side slam for a two count. Booker hit a back kick for a two count. Booker hit a Hot Shot and followed with a reverse DDT for a two count. Booker got a sunset flip in the corner, but Christian reversed it and grabbed the ropes for a two count. Christian hit Booker with a Bookend for a two count. Booker grabbed a small package for two. Christian tried to toss Booker from the ring, but he landed on the apron and hit a ax kick from the outside. Booker then hit a missile dropkick for a two count. Booker hit a sidekick, then did the Spinaroonie. Booker went for the ax kick, but Christian slid from the ring. He grabbed the belt and started to leave the ring. The referee started to count, but then stopped, and announced that if Christian walks off and is counted out, he will forfeit the title. Christian ran back to the ring, dove in to break the count, then dove back out. Booker chased Christian around and back into the ring. Christian then hit Booker with the belt, getting disqualified at the eight minute mark. The crowd groaned and they went to commercial.

Kevin Nash was shown preparing for his match in the back.

In the ring, Jerry Lawler hosted the second part of the Redneck Triathlon, the Pie Eating Contest. Eric Bischoff, then Steve Austin, came to the ring. Austin reminded Bischoff that they agreed Bischoff could go first if Austin could pick the pie. Austin reminded Bischoff that he once said he liked mature women. Austin also called Bischoff "Jerkoff" (which Brian Pillman once called Bischoff back in ECW). Austin pointed out how Bischoff had four gorgeous women in the back, but since Eric liked mature women, he had selected a woman just for him. The music played, and out came Mae Young, accompanied by the Fabulous Moolah (who apparently was trying to get Mae to reconsider, then gave up and went to the back). Mae entered the ring, and Eric Bischoff was less than thrilled with the choice. Bischoff refused, and Austin called him a chicken. Mae pinched Eric on the rear end. Austin said if Bischoff quits, then he is the winner, 2-0. Austin was about to be declared the winner, but Bischoff stopped him. Bischoff then kissed Mae Young, and told Austin to top that. Austin said this was a pie eating contest, not a kissing contest. Mae then gave Bischoff a low blow, put him in the corner, and ripped off her skirt to reveal a thong. Mae then gave Bischoff a Bronco Buster in the corner. Bischoff was disgusted, but insisted that Austin now take his turn. Austin instead gave Mae an awkward stunner, and told Bischoff that he forfeited, so Bischoff won this round. They are tied, 1-1.

An ad for Vengeance, featuring Kurt Angle, was shown. No mention of it being a Smackdown-Only PPV.

Kane was shown alone in the back, and a clip package went over the recent problems between the tag team champions. Jonathan Coachman interviewed La Resistance, who ripped on Texas and George W. Bush.

The Tag Team Title match was next. La Resistance came out first, then Rob Van Dam, then Kane. RVD started out with Rene, backing him into a corner. Rene shoved Van Dam, and Van Dam shoved back, then hit a back heel kick. RVD hit a back elbow and a second rope bodypress on Rene for a two count. RVD went to his corner, but Kane didn't tag in, and he and RVD exchanged words. Van Dam grabbed Rene with a small package for a two count. Van Dam went for a monkey flip, but Sylvan pulled him down, throat first onto the ropes. Rene hit a DDT on Van Dam, but Kane broke up the pin. Sylvan came in and worked over RVD with elbows. Rene tagged back in, hit a snapmare and grabbed a chinlock. Van Dam hit an enzugiri, and tagged in Kane. Kane cleaned house on both men, and hit a big boot on Sylvan, and tossed Rene from the ring. Kane worked over Sylvan in the corner. Rene jumped off the ropes, and Kane caught him with a choke. Kane hit Sylvan with a side slam for a two count. Kane clotheslined Rene. Kane went to the top rope and hit Sylvan with a flying clothesline, but Rene broke up the cover. La Resistance hit a neckbreaker/elbow combo, but Kane got right back up and clotheslined both men. Rob Van Dam tagged in and hit Rene with a top rope kick. The match spilled to the floor, and RVD went for a somersault plancha, but La Resistance pulled Kane in the way, and he took the move from Van Dam. La Resistance got RVD back in the ring and hit a H-Bomb. Sylvan covered RVD for the pin in seven minutes. La Resistance are the new World Tag Team Champions.

The events leading to Bill Goldberg vs. Chris Jericho were recapped.

Jericho vs. Goldberg was next. Jericho avoided Goldberg early. They locked up, and tumbled through the ropes and to the floor. Goldberg mauled Jericho on the floor, then tossed him back into the ring. Jericho tried to avoid Goldberg by hiding behind the referee, but Goldberg grabbed him. Jericho ducked some clotheslines and went for a cross bodyblock, but Goldberg caught it and powerslammed him. Goldberg continued to dominate, swatting away Jericho as he ran at him. Goldberg pressed Jericho, dropped him crotch first on the top rope, and kicked him to the floor. The fans were booing Goldberg, and there were scattered "Y2J" chants. Goldberg pressed Jericho and dropped him on the security wall. Goldberg went for a spear on the floor, but Jericho moved and Goldberg went through the security wall. Goldberg was clutching his arm and shoulder on the floor. Jericho went after him in the crowd, and then tossed him shoulder first into the ringpost. Goldberg was also bleeding from the head. In the ring, Jericho hit a missile dropkick to the shoulder, then got a two count. Jericho kicked and elbowed the bad shoulder, and pushed it against the ring ropes. Goldberg came back with a shoulderblock with the good shoulder. Goldberg went for a backdrop, but Jericho hit a cross armbreaker, then applied a Fujiwara armbar. Goldberg reversed a whip, and Jericho went for a reverse bodypress out of the corner, but Goldberg hit a kick to the chest. Goldberg hit a shoulderblock with the good shoulder again, then hit a reverse atomic drop and a savate kick. Goldberg went for a backdrop again, but Jericho hit a swinging DDT, hooking the bad arm, for a two count. Goldberg charged into a back elbow, and struggled to hit a hiptoss with the bad arm. Jericho hit a dropkick and a bulldog. Jericho hit a Lionsault, but Goldberg kicked out at two. Jericho hit a bulldog again, then went for a Lionsault on a standing Goldberg. Goldberg blocked it, then hit a slam. Goldberg measured for the spear, and hit it, using the bad shoulder. There was a "Goldberg sucks" chant. Goldberg slowly got up, and went for the jackhammer. Jericho blocked it, the referee got poked in the face by accident, and Jericho hit a low blow. Jericho applied the Walls Of Jericho. Goldberg went for the ropes, but Jericho pulled him back to the center of the ring. Goldberg twisted out of the hold, then hit a spear with the good shoulder. Goldberg then went for the Jackhammer, and hit it for the pin at the eleven minute mark. The finishers still got a pop from the crowd. At ringside, a fan had a sign that said "I'm A Jerichoholic" and Goldberg was getting in his face as they went to show replays from the bout.

They showed a pigsty set up in the building, with live pigs. It was pointed out that the sty could be used in the final part of the Redneck Triathlon. However, when they spun the wheel, it landed on Sing-Off. Bischoff was overjoyed, saying he had a great set of pipes and that he would show all the "Rednecks" in the crowd what a great singer he was. Austin was ticked off, admitting that when it comes to singing, he "sucks".

The events leading to Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels was shown. This was a great video package, using tons of old WWF and WCW footage.

Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels was next. Ric Flair came to the ring first, then Shawn Michaels entered. Flair strutted before locking up. Flair floated from a headlock to a hammerlock, shoved Michaels, and let out a "Whoo". Michaels then grabbed a go behind, tripped Flair and walked across his back. Michaels then slapped Flair and let out his won "Whoo". They started wrestling on the mat, with Michaels maintaining a waistlock until Flair made the ropes. Michaels shoved Flair and slapped him. Flair charged, and Michaels grabbed a drop toe hold. Michaels went for a front facelock, and Flair shoved him on the break on the ropes. Michaels slapped Flair and clotheslined him to the floor. Michaels hit Flair with a pescado, then they went back into the ring. They traded shots, and Michaels hit a shoulderblock. Flair went down, expecting Michaels to charge over him, but Michaels dropped down and grabbed a headlock instead. Flair put Michaels in the corner, and the two exchanged chops. Michaels hit a series of punches in the corner, blocked a reverse atomic drop, and decked Flair. Referee Earl Hebner got Michaels out of the corner, and Flair clipped Michaels' knee from behind. Flair kneedropped the leg, and hit a chop in the corner before stomping the leg a few times. Flair yanked at the leg and drove his knee into it. Flair dropped all his weight on Michaels' leg. Flair applied the Figure Four leglock. The fans chanted "HBK" as Michaels struggled in the hold. Michaels finally made the ropes to break the hold. Flair chopped Michaels down, and stomped the weakened leg. Michaels hit an enzugiri, but Flair came back with chops. Michaels responded with punches, and Michaels hit a backdrop. Michaels whipped Flair into a corner, but Flair caught a charging Michaels with a back elbow. Flair went to the top rope, but Michaels slammed him off. Michaels measured for Sweet Chin Music, but Flair caught the kick, tripped Michaels and went for the Figure Four, but Michaels turned it into a small package for a two count. Michaels then grabbed Flair's legs and applied a Figure Four. Flair broke the hold with a thumb to the eye. Flair went for a back suplex, but Michaels floated over and went for a roll up, ramming Flair into the referee as he did so. They traded reversals on the roll up, with a stunned Hebner counting two. Michaels whipped Flair into the corner, and Flair flipped over, tried to climb the other side, but Michaels caught him with a clothesline as he came down. Michaels then set Flair on the top turnbuckle and hit a superplex. Michaels left the ring and set up a table at ringside. When he got back in, Flair was up and teased suplexing Michaels from the ring through the table. They brawled to the floor, and Michaels set Flair on the table at ringside. Randy Orton ran down, and Michaels superkicked him. Michaels then went to the top rope, and dove off, splashing Flair through the table. When Michaels tossed Flair back into the ring, we could see that Flair was bleeding from the back. Michaels covered Flair, but only got a two count. Michaels fought Flair into a corner, and Flair went for a low kick, but hit both Michaels and the referee with it. Michaels managed to come back though, hitting a flying forearm and kipping up. Michaels slammed Flair and hit a top rope elbowdrop. The referee was still down. Michaels set for Sweet Chin Music, and this time he hit the superkick on Flair. Randy Orton ran in, and hit Michaels with a chairshot. Orton placed Flair on top of Michaels, and left the ring as the referee woke up. Hebner counted Michaels shoulders down, and Ric Flair was the winner in fourteen minutes. Orton helped Flair to the back after the match.

When they went back to the arena after showing an ad for Freddie Blassie's book (which is great), the fans were chanting "HBK" as Michaels was leaving the ring.

Eric Bischoff entered the ring for the final event of the Redneck Triathlon, the Sing-Off. Bischoff said he was going to treat the fans to a classic song, and then lip-synced to his own theme music. Austin appeared on the screen, and said he was lip-syncing, and called him "Milli Vanilli". Bischoff then really sang his theme song, poorly. Austin told Bischoff how poorly he sang, with the fans saying "what" between each insult. Austin said that since he couldn't sing either, they would spin the wheel again. A very short spin landed on "Pig Pen Fun", in which the rules were that the first person to be tossed into the pile of pig crap in the pen would be the loser. Bischoff tried to escape through the crowd, but the crowd wouldn't let him, since Austin had "deputized" them to prevent Bischoff from leaving. Austin ran out and stomped Bischoff in the corner. Austin stood Bischoff up, flipped him the double bird, then gave him a stunner. Austin tossed Bischoff out of the ring, and dragged him to the pig pen. Austin slugged Bischoff on the stage above the pig pen. Austin then tossed Bischoff off the stage into the pig pen, which was filled with mud and heaven knows what else. Austin laughed at Bischoff and went back to the ring for a beer celebration, while Bischoff was a muddy mess in the pig pen (which did include several live pigs).

The events leading to the main event were shown.

Hell In A Cell, for the World Heavyweight Title, was next. Kevin Nash came to the ring first, then Triple H, then special referee Mick Foley. The Cell was lowered, with the World Title belt left on the ring apron. Triple H started arguing with Foley before the match started. HHH attacked Nash, but Nash hit a boot to the face and tossed Triple H to the floor. Nash went to ram Triple H into the cage, but HHH blocked it and got back in the ring. Nash got back in as well and decked Triple H with some punches and forearms. Triple H went to the apron, and yanked Nash throat first across the top rope. Nash and Triple H fought in a corner, and Nash shoved Triple H into Foley. Foley got right back up. Nash hit elbows and knees in the corner, and clotheslined Triple H over the top rope to the floor. Nash followed, but Triple H grabbed him and tried to ram him into the cage. Nash blocked it, and rammed Triple H back first into the ringpost. Nash whipped Triple H into the chain link fence back first, twice. Nash rammed Triple H into the apron, whipped him into the cage back first again, then backdropped Triple H on the floor. They went back to the ring, and Nash hit Triple H with forearms in the corner. Nash hit a side slam for a two count. Nash dropped a pair of elbows for a two count. Nash went under the ring, and pulled out a chair. Nash hit Triple H in the gut with the chair, then brought it down across his back. Triple H squirmed on the mat in pain, then rolled out of the ring. Nash went after him, ramming him back first into the corner of the cage over and over. Nash whipped Triple H into the ringsteps. Nash took a section of the steps and threw it at Triple H, but H ducked out of the way. Triple H hit some punches and rammed Nash into the other set of ringsteps. They brawled on the floor, and Nash went for a Jackknife on the floor, but Triple H fought out of it. Triple H went under the ring and found a tool box. Triple H took a divider tray out of the box, but Nash hit him before he could use it. Triple H picked up a hammer and hit Nash in the leg, then hit him in the head with it. Triple H got back in the ring, and Foley took the hammer from him. Triple H shoved Foley, and Foley shoved Triple H to mat. Triple H backed off from Foley. They replayed Triple H's hammer shot to the back of Nash's head. Nash, bleeding, slowly got on the apron, but Triple H shoved him back to the floor and raked his face across the steel mesh. Triple H rammed Nash into the ringsteps, then raked him across the fence again. Back in the ring, Triple H had a screwdriver, but before he could use it, Nash blocked it. However, Triple H kicked Nash in the gut, and drove the screwdriver into the head of Kevin Nash. Triple H went under the ring, and pulled out a 2x4 wrapped in barbed wire. Triple H hit Nash in the gut with it. HHH measured Nash for a big shot with it, but Nash came back with some right hands. Nash then picked up the 2x4 and hit Triple H in the head with it. Triple H was now busted open as well. Nash hit him with the 2x4 again. Nash put the 2x4 in the corner, across the top turnbuckle. Nash worked over Triple H, hitting clotheslines in the corner. Nash then delivered Snake Eyes on the barbed wire 2x4 that was sitting on the top turnbuckle. Nash made the cover, but Triple H kicked out at two. Nash tossed a section of ringsteps into the ring. Triple H rolled out of the ring, and when Nash went to follow, Triple H broke a wooden crate over his head (the 2x4 had been in the crate under the ring). Triple H then went under the ring and got a sledgehammer. Foley took the sledgehammer away from Triple H, and Triple H slugged him. Triple H picked up the ringsteps, but Nash grabbed Triple H in a drop toe hold, and HHH fell face first into the steps. Nash covered Triple H for a two count. Nash picked up a chair, but Triple H kicked his leg out. Triple H then picked up the chair and hit Nash with it. Triple H then hit Foley with it. Foley was busted open. Foley got back up, and pulled out Mr. Socko. Triple H was punching Nash on the mat. Foley put Triple H in the Mandible Claw, but Triple H broke it up with a kick to the nads. Nash picked up the steel steps, but Triple H yanked Foley over and Nash hit both of them with the steps. Nash went to lift up Foley, who was on the ring apron, and Triple H ran towards Nash, but Nash moved and he ran into Foley, who went flying off the apron into the cage. Triple H went for the Pedigree, Nash tripped out of it, and delivered a catapult into the barbed wire 2x4 that was still in the corner. Nash hit a Jackknife powerbomb, and Foley crawled back in for a two count. All three men were down. Triple H crawled across the ring towards the sledgehammer, as Nash went to pick him up off the mat. Triple H hit Nash with the sledgehammer in the head, then delivered the Pedigree for the three count at the twenty one minute mark. Triple H retains the World Heavyweight Title.

Ric Flair and Randy Orton came out to help Triple H up, and Foley, kneeling over Nash, argued with Flair as the show ended.
