Funny, how the guy that destroys the chemistry is the only one that hurts the team when he sits the bench to rest.

    odd how that works.

yet they played better in the two games of his absence than they did in the two games in lamar's absence

they looked just as good without him last year as they did with him and looked their worst when odom went down

said it time and time again... maybe ONE DAY it will soak in

I understand what you're trying to say, how Kobe's dominating of the ball doesn't allow for Lamar Odom, or others to get their rhythym...

Yet, Kobe can only control Kobe. Odom is responsible for Odom.

Remember the game against the Kings about a month back?

Kobe dished to Odom for a wide open three, and Odom knocked it down. Hurray, that's good team basketball.

Lakers seemed like they had it in the bag....

With a shot clock possesion to go, Odom inexplicably charges the basket with 17 seconds left, and gets called for a foul. All they have to do is wind the clock down and win, but Odom goes in... for what? He had nothing to gain and everything to lose on that play.

The Kings proceed to knock down 2, 3 pointers and send the game into overtime, where the Lakers lose.

Kobe didn't make Odom drive, that was all Odom. Odom is prone to making those types of mistakes. But Odom isn't alone in his ineptness.

Against the Spurs when Kobe made 4 shots in a row, including back to back to back three pointers, drawing them within 10, he dishes to a gapingly wide open Devean George, since Kobe had 3 people collapsing on him... with the crowd in a frenzy... and the dood bricks.

You can't blame Kobe for other people not hitting shots, or for playing dumb basketball.

okay, citing the sacramento game i can see... but, what was the point of bringing up devean george's missed shot?

i'm not saying kobe deserves most of the blame for the lakers losing altogether, but he has a huge hand in not getting his 2nd option more confident and in the groove

I brought DG's missed shot because it was wide open, and it was his miss.

By your reasoning earlier, somehow Kobe would be to blame... because he didn't massage Deveans George's confidence, or his balls, or whatever would have helped for Kobe to help DG to make that shot.

Of course, DG could have made the shot himself, and not waited for Kobe to 'get him in a rhythym' to sink it.
