    The new World Wrestling Federation!"//
Nature Boy, Ric Flair, dressed in style//
Andre the Giant always had the biggest smile//
Sting's hair was short, and his facepaint glow//
Way before Brandon Lee became 'The Crow'//
    Early 90's came, a bit suprising//
Flair, number one again in the rankings//
The Undertaker debuts, all the way from Death Valley//
Beating up Hulk Hogan for the grand finale//
Mo and Mable were fat, can you envision?//
    First rap gimmick=Men On A Mission//
Ain't no way can compare to this man's heart//
Sharpshooter is deadly, Bret "The Hitman" Hart//
    Yozokuna, a big sumo wrestler//
    Became world champ, defeats Undertaker//
Bret Hart is ready, can he be champion again?//
Yokuna misses, and rolls for the win//
No one else can rise the way he did//
Shawn Michaels, the Heart Break Kid//
The 1-2-3 Kid had to face him alone//
But can't believe that he won against Razor Ramon!//
"Wrestlemania: Arcade Game" was the joint for now//
But who the living FUCk was Doink The Clown???//
    Anyway mid-90's, birth of WCW//
Ted Turner is rich, Vince seems troubled too//
Diesel and Razor Ramon left for dough//
    Hogan joined and formed NWO//
A new gimmick that would get things knockin//
King of The Ring: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin!//
    He doesn't give a f*ck, had a feud with Vince//
They say wrestling hasn't been the same since//
    D.D.P. and Raven, mid-carder legends//
Goldust was a flaming homo to the essence//
Ken Shamrock was dangerous, a crazy cat//
Val Venis slept with his sister, made him snap//
Actually it was caused by that faggot, Jeff Jarrett//
A guitar and a horse? can't go nowhere with that shit//
New group feuds, Sting joins the Pack//
Black And White versus Red and Black//
Let's get it straight, Chyna was never a sex symbol//
DX was formed, we all did the X symbols//
Michaels was champ, he liked fightin'//
Got knocked out in '14' by Mike Tyson//
Ahmed Johnson was stomped by Farook/
What a shame, I really liked that duke//
Nation of Domination, all for black power//
Rocky Maivia joined, then it got sour//
They booed Bret Hart, Americans tried//
    Hart Foundation, Canadian pride//
Who's really to blame? Vince, that's you dawg//
    For the Infamous Montreal Screwjob//
Late 90's came, times are changin//
    Goldberg became the main attraction//
Austin was ill, The Rock was iller//
"Hogan for President" was just crap filler//
Kurt Angle comes with Olympic pride//
Who is Y2J? Jericho switched sides!//
Bischoff in trouble, he needs to sway things//
    Cuz WCW is losing ratings//
    Year 2000, a brand new year//
Wrestling not very good, kinda queer//
    WWF switches to WWE//
    That was what, in 2003?//
See I stopped watching in 2001//
When Austin was gone and The Rock was done//
Late 2004, realized again that wrestling ruless//
All thanks to 'Carlito Carribbean Cool'!//

Oh I know WCW itself was around since the 80's, but i'm talking about the 'Ted Turner' WCW, when he bought the company and made it televised. The mid-90's is when it really took off after Scott Hall and Kevin Nash came as the "Outsiders".

Yeah, Nitro started in '95, but WCW shows were televised on TBS for while before that. Back when Missy Hyatt managed the Nasty Boys and Harlem Heat were still under the nicknames Kane (Stevie Ray) and Kole (Booker T). I remember watching Chris Jericho's WCW television debut. Have no idea who he was against but I remember it.

Unfortunately I never got TNT where I live so I had to wait for TSN to pick it up, at the same time it was already airing Raw. Great to see two competing companies having shows aired on the same channel. Of course, Raw took the Monday night at 9 slot.

WCW really started in mid 89. Turner bought NWA in 88 I think but shit didn't really switch over for a year or so, I just remember the shows having a different feel. Last real NWA show I think was Chi Town Rumble.
