    Nostalgic bump.

Reminds me of vacationing in Florida as a kid and my parents taking me to the Dali Museum.

Never really gained an appreciation for Dada or Surrealism until later on.

i thought it was an actual work of dali's when i first saw it in a google search

nice piece... never seen it before. title?

the persistence of memory (1931) was the first dali work i'd ever seen back in the 2nd grade or so. i remember being in a trance...

    You paint, Brahman?

I never meant to give off the impression that I was great at it.. I make occasional, amateurish attempts.

Poetry/prose/musical composition is more of my element.

I'd like to dabble in film soon.

another one of my faves... i have a good picture of it (size, clarity, etc.) saved on another comp that i forgot to upload to photobucket

and, yeah, i enjoy most of his works' titles

naw... i was never very good in art class. i always struggled whenever we did watercolor painting.

i want to take a short course or seminar and make an attempt later on though

I don’t ask art for clarity.

Striving for clarity puts a damper on the creative process.

Everyday we confront a universe that appears on the surface meaningless, chaotic, devoid of any static set of rules and left open to our own interpretation..

The beauty and genius of Dali/Surrealist art is that it was truly imitative of life.

i guess it would be nice to know a little bit more about what dali was thinking to satisfy the nagging curiosity, but it's not really needed

i simply get lost in the delirium and dreamlike imagery
