If you really wanna peeve white people off mention the word "Obamacare". Well, moderate whites that can't believe how fast America's "changed" should blame the white conservatives esp. the doubled-minded Political Evangelicals for electing Bush for the second-term. If Kerry were elected in '04 the likelihood that Obama would've even ran is slim - the irony knows no bounds. Now white conservatives represent the near powerless, constantly-antagonistic party absent of any alternative resolutions. The Republican strategy seems to be quite simple "avoid conflict resolutions" at all cost and continue on a course that agree's only to be disagreeable. But now they face they're worst nighmare it appears, a Pro-Choice president with Ivy League intelligence, armed with a near filibuster-proof democratic congress (Senate and House), the know-how of FDR, the charisma of JFK, an approval rating of well over 50% (even though he's tackling something as controversal as health care, oh and planning on taking on social security next), oh and did I forget to mention HE'S BLACK - and introduced the first BLACK FIRST FAMILY that has shattered anyone of the prejudice afro-american caricatures lingering from southern dixie land and old time America! I believe Karma's headed in for the checkmate...

1.) If the Economy bounces back w/o the speculative bubbles.
2.) When the Health Care Reform bill is passed, if its congruous with Obama's plan and proves successful as it phases in.
3.) If the war is ended.
4.) If the Obama Administration avoids scandal and corruption.
5.) If the Federal Budget Deficit is reduced to 600 Billion or lower.

    ....

then not only will Pres. Barack Obama have won America's trust and enjoy a second term by a landslide, but Republicanism as we know will be completely and utterly DEAD!

The Oil Industry, Bush/Chaney and Wall Street CEO's robbed us into a recession...

Health Insurance oligopolies have been securing record profits and continuing to rob the insured.

Ummm, most Wall Street CEO's donated heavily to Obama's campaign, and are profitting now just as much as they were before. Pharmaceutical companies will be the new giant in healthcare instead of insurance companies, so don't think that Obama will mean the end of businesses "robbing" consumers. Business is where all that campaign money came from. Business donates to whoever will be in power, and business tends to get what it wants. If you think Obama will change much of anything, you're delusional.

Legit profitability and robbing someone for profit are two entirely different things. Issuing complicated Mortgage Backed Securities, and complicated hedging instruments [where the valuations recieved minimal regulation], such as Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDO's).. protected by a AAA Standard and Poor's rating is called "getting over". Alot of those CEO's haved been "fired" I can give you the list if you like.

Also Obama's so called "plan" is still in the house of representatives. I'm pretty sure that you have no literature to back up your premise that Pharmaceutical companies are the next insurance companies except Fox News.

Wake up! Obama's already changing things. And If a Health Care Reform bill passes esp. with a public option, he will have already accomplished more than both Bush's did in their 3 full terms in office.

I'm glad I did not vote for Obama :)

I mean who in their right mind would vote for a National Socialist? Dude even wants to have a Youth Corps, in fact it's already in motion.

Whenever you have politics being taught in the class room (Go Green!) or any sort of 'grouping' influenced by the state you are no different than any other Totalitarian state in the history of the world because they ALL start out with that sort of nonsense.

What will it mean if Obama gets elected to a second term? It'll mean that the 2012 doomsday prophecy that's been fed to me was a bluff. The repercussions this will have on Health Care are significant as I'll finally move to America and get insurance.

Somewhat true, I mean this bill has banned discrimination base on preexisting conditions in health care insurance practices, that's not exactly a good thing for companies like Wellpoint who used this practice to deny coverage... but there's no way its going to pass like it is now the process is just beginning. The Health Care Industry knows that thats why Pharmaceuticals and Health Insurance companies have spent almost a combined 3 billion dollars in lobbying efforts since 1998 according to the Center for Responsive Politics ( Lobbying Spending Database | OpenSecrets ). They've been the top lobbying industry playing off the greed on capital hill, fighting this type of reform for ages. I don't think people understand what the Obama administration has done, of course boosted by Bush's/Chaney shortcomings, to help reshape the way government works. The Health Care Industry has had congress (both DEM and REP) in its pocket for decades. Barack is on the verge of going down as one of the greatest Presidents the US has ever had"."

legit profitability and robbing someone for profit are different sides of the same quarter. the 'legit' portion is highly debatable as what is 'legit' changes from person to person. everyone is in business to make money. everyone backing this is standing behind podiums trying to make it sound like they're doing it for the lower class who can't afford health care (as it stands) but the intent is to open up the lower class to the health care market. they are doing it for themselves, with some side benefit to the poor.

no one is altruistic. not when there's money to be made.

Internal Memo Confirms Big Giveaways In White House Deal With Big Pharma

Shut the fuck up, you brainwashed lap dog.

Obama is bending over backwards, forewards, and sideways for these motherfuckers. I bet it kills you to realize that the dick you been riding so hard for the last year has been headed straight for your asshole the whole time. Cutting backroom deals with an entire industry and denying it, while you're just lapping it up.
