    i use flat rubber mats. like 4 of them or probably the equivalent of a 10lb or 25lb plate. no real reason to go any higher than an inch or two, or you're putting a lot of stress on your knees. heel-elevated should kill your core and your quads. if your knees hurt, reduce the height.

    sumo has less range of movement, so that's why i think it's easier

    Ran my first morning 21km yesterday - definitely have my work cut out as far as breathing technique's concerned.

    You can do both. Squats & deadlifts. Deadlifts are really good for the lower back and squats obviously target the legs more. :D

    I hate doing squats though. :eek:

    Definitely a must for women IMO.

    There's a swarm of gym vulture women at the fitness that're far more concerned with flirting than with any actual aspect of working out - squatting & weightlifting included. Always end up waiting on the guys to be done so I can get on with my squatturday.

    Seriously though you still been keeping up that crazy gym routine you had going on? We're probably doing another fitness comp starting in November.

    Still maintaining my regular routine - nothing's changed for me since the fit. com. ended, tbh.

    Yeah, I've seen @J o o k mentioning when the next one's approx. starting, which leaves me enough time to get the marathon done, take a day or two off after that, then it's rinse&repeat with being back in the gym.

    Would be neat if it lasted through the whole winter until 1st day of spring - or at least until the bunny holiday.
