...although over here, winter tires can be taken off with 18th of March.

Depending on where you live, do you have a similar rule when it comes to tire changes, and if so, do you follow those?

no rules here. And youd think of all places thered be rules for that with our Canadian winters, but the people were like "fuck you, you cant force me to pay for 4 winter tires you assholes"

It's certainly dragging here. I heard the groundhog is wanted 'dead or alive'.

What Busta said, no rules here. Most common thing is all season tires I think, which is silly as most tend to change them in the spring/summer and the tread is worn off by winter.

Stop the clock, a poem from the great ronnie Mund:

"Winter is when there are no leaves on the trees.

Winter is when we say goodbye to the birds and the bees.

Winter is when we get an extra hour of z's.

Winter is when a red-suited man brings us all lots of glee.

Winter is when the snow falls and we yell "Happy New Year!"

Winter is when you turn that special girl or guy's heart bright red with love and cheer until that time again next year.

Winter goes away, and the birds and the bees and the leaves on the trees and the extra hour of z's all go back to where they should be.

    Winter.

    Spring."

    There's always public transportation. ;)

Usually ish has to happen before rules change, so I'm hoping it won't come to that.

Winter this year was especially brutal; 1st the major company that tends to the snowy roads went under causing a lot of accidents & people getting stranded for hours in snow due to roads not being cleared in time, then the headache of worn out upper layer of road structure, etc..

oh trust me, lots of ish goes down on our winter streets...

its just the people think being forced to buy winter tires is wrong. We went to poll over it and the majority said no fuckin way.

i garauntee you the only ones who said yes were wealthy people, they are the only ones whod think it should be forced. Because its pocket change to them. To a regular joe 4 winter tires is a months rent and bills.
