    any recommendations?

I only got it at Christmas (my friend gave it me as they got a new XBox) so far I've played Donkey Kong Country - really good, but man it gets tough in the last part.

I'm just starting Zelda 'Skyward Sword' - its BRILLIANT, the controls are amazing, sword fights have never been so good. (the sword mimics your hand motion including one attack where you have to hold it up in the air and slash it down .... hilarious at first)

so yeah ... any good titles for the console peeps?

Can't tell you first hand since i don't ever play it lol. Just look up reviews i guess. That golden eye game was supposed to be good for the wii. Then there is mostly mario games and dancing games lol.

There is an RPG that is suppoed to be coming out this year for it (already out in japan) xenoblade or something. That's supposed to be really good (not sure if it's related to the old xeno games from back in the day)

I was going to come in here and say Zelda, Skyward sword. The game is great and one of the best Zeldas I played. How far are you in to it?

Haven't played too many Wii games but Mario Kart was fun, Goldeneye wasn't too bad too.

chapter 15 ..... struggling to kill "the imprisoned" the second time round -the big monster where you have to cut off its toes & bomb it.

I've been real close - I bought some 'stamina +' potions and equipped my potion medal for my next pop at him. (later today prob)

playing that harp still cracks me up :funny:

I agree with you too, def one of the best Zeldas

Take your time with the imprisoned, once you get the hang of it, it is easy.

the puzzles are great and the dungeons are great. They did a awesome job with the Zelda game. How many times have you died in it? If you think they do a good amount of damage wait until you play it on hero mode. Enemies do twice the damage and you don't get any hearts.

I never did use the stamina except for a side quest.

I am still having fun with the game

I've not really had much problems with dying ... up until now!
the stamina potions were just a random idea ..not being able to move is super frustrating.

I play on normal usually-does that make me wimp status :S
I ramp it up when I replay although I admit I usually go to 'hard' - what you describe sounds like it would craze me out, although I definitely like the game enough to at least give it a go.

I have Skyrim unopened (PS3) ... that will be my next game to play... although after this Twighlight Princess is mad appealing (I have played it ages ago, still have it)

You get hero mode after you beat the game. Made me want to replay the game more. I hope they keep the sword combat for future Zelda games, I can't see myself wanting to go back.

Twilight Princess is a good game but not as good as Skyward. Still fun to play.

To be honest I'm just content enough playing the wii sports (and subsequent evolutions) games. In addition they have a really cool feature when you can purchase classic Nintendo games (from other sets) and play them on the wii. I used to play games like Street Fighter 2, Yoshii's Island/Story, Goldeneye etc.

You can do it through the wii store. I know you can buy "wii points" at stores so you can get games online. I think they are reasonably priced too and they have a pretty good selection. They still add games occasionally too.

Yea I mainly used the Wii to play the old games. They have a good selection, played some old NES, SNES games. They have a lot of the Zelda games, Metroid, Mario games and other child hood favorites.
