    The homos are up in arms about it, though.

    I mean, all of those terms are related to homosexuality... I think "queer" and "gay" are acceptable labels, unlike "faggot," "fruit," or "fairy," which is considered derogatory to them... but "queer," "gay" and even "homo" can be used in a derogatory way, like when you say "that's gay."
