It seems something is always wrong.

I just told some one I was watching the new F4 film. I made the mistake of saying I liked it. I also liked the first one to. This person went into a puss and semen tantrum, rattling off dozens of inaccuracies. Inaccuracies in a comic, turned Hollywood action flick. Anyway, it got me thinking. None of you fucking like any comic book film. Something, is always wrong and when there's not (ie Blade) you will just simply refuse to acknowledge it unless prompted.

    Why is that?

    not true.

a fair amount of people, and by people, i'm specifically referring to those who know/enjoy the genre of comic books and the mythos surrounding it, are aware that it's an adaptation...stark and often upsetting differences will occur. we may not agree with some of these changes(sometimes necessary for the medium and or story), but we're not going to be downright critical of the movie as a whole because of it. we're not all morons. we can still enjoy these films for what they are.

but some people do overreact, because it's bastardizing the characters and mythos and disrupting the continuity...yea, it sucks that they can't/won't get every detail down as it should be, but those who bitch about it incessantly are unforgiving pussies that have not been laid in quite some time, if ever. give them a break.

Agreed. I'm not denying there are differences between the comic and film, but some people like to exaggerate it, as if it's as bad as the Resident Evil transition from video game to fillm, who's only similarity is the name of the film and the evil corporation.

    I like comic-based movies.

    I even liked The Hulk.

I don't know a lot about the sources when I see these movies, though.

    Same, the Hulk was alright.

I've seen the cartoons, but I couldn't recall specific stories.

I didn't really care for the first F4.
It was alright, didn't make me wanna see the sequel, though.

Side note, the Fantastic 4 always makes me think of a poor man's X-Men.

i dont have a bias against them its just they all suck with the exception of the early batman movies. it could be im just not into the whole superhero thing but ive given them all a fair shot, hulk, the new batman, spider man, fantastic 4, x-men ive seen them all and some are semi-enjoyable such as x-men a lot are just boring. also i realize these are just "popcorn" movies and arent even made to be oscar winners or in anyones top 10, but still.

    Because they're horible.

Spiderman 1, 2, and 3 was cheesey as hell and made for kids 5-10 years old...(just as comic books probably were as well)

    Superman? lmao

    Batmans have been ok...

    Final Fantasy....horrible. More childish cheese.

there are probably more that I can't remember because they're usually the most mediocre of movies.

The corniness and cheesiness in the spiderman movies is usually intentional.
    They're very funny.

Spiderman is not a grimy gritty character.
