I like the *****. Every film I've seen him in is at least a worth while veiw.
I don't hate on him...Passenger 57 was dope, so was his performance in Money Train...dude is a tallented actor.
i don't know, but i do.
for some odd reason, i'm just getting fucking tired of seeing him in movies...even though he's not all that bad an actor, i can't explain it.
In general people hate him cause he's a dick off camera. Atleast that's according to most people who worked with him....
TRUE...I've heard this also...but I really can't stand him in his new art films like Blade bullshit or whatever. The last great role I enjoyed watching him in the Fugative sequal...Art Of War was ok, but just kind of blaaahhhh. I didn't really get into it that much...
I think the biggest knock on Wes is that he's been overexposed in Tinsel Town.
It's crucial that Black A-list actors be a bit selective about the roles they take.
This, in itself, though is problematic because often times there aren't as many opportunities. Translation: Brothers gotta eat.
I'm not mad at him. He's been great at times and pedestrian at others.
Overall, I like Wes.
i don't know man, he's hit or miss with me:
he was good in that one movie, i can't think of the name of it right now, with all the angry women...angela basset, whitney houston, loretta devine, that guy from the all-state commercials and 24 is in it, forrest whitaker directed it.......waiting to exhale...that's the name, he was about the only character with any depth in that whole movie.
i did see a short film he did about a kid who draws a black jesus that is supposed to be shown at the county fair, but the white mayor doesn't want it to happen. the film was bad and wesley snipes was terrible as the school principal.
Willie Mays Hayes
i think that's the only time i actually liked him in a movie.
Blade Trinity sucked ass.
I've also like him in such movies as
sugarhill is the GOAT
He's had a few respectable performances.
yeah, i've got no problem with him, it's just those are the only 2 things i've seen him in i think, and in one he was good and in the other he was bad, so that's what i have to go on. i was supposed to watch disappearing acts for a class last semester, but completely forgot to, oh well.
He's my favorite African American Actor for Action movies.
See it. It's a pretty good film.
^^If you can get past the bitter stereotypes from writer Terry McMillan, there are decent performances.
Sanaa and Wesley kilt it!!
for a stereotype or cliche to exist in the first place, there must be some truthful situation that spawned it
so, why would you just write what she wrote off as "bitter stereotypes" instead of accepting it as a reality that is present somewhere in society?
Now that there's been this scandal with her husband I'm sure we'll see another male-bashing flick laden with stereotypes in a couple years...
