Let it be known now.
Me? lol, hell no. Silva by first shot landed.
no.. if silva fell, and maia could fall on him.. he could mos def submit him.. but it'll never get that far.. atleast not the silva falling part..
Maia's +514. I figured his odds would be longer than that.
If they get longer I might be stupid enough to bet him, but not to actually predict he'll win.
I have the brains NOT to pick Maia over Silva.
If ANDtheMC didn't commit suicide due to the Carwin raping Mir, I'm sure he'll be in shortly to disagree with everyone in this thread.
maia is gonna get destroyed
the middleweight division is so weak, fucken rediculous. the welterweight division is weak as fuck too
it's tough for me to agree with that. i'd agree that it's tough to be excited about contenders, but that has more to do with the champs.
if that was the case, i would of said the lightweight division is weak too
the middleweight division and welterweight division is weak as hell
whens the last time the WW and MW division had any big prospects?
strikeforce alone has a better welterweight and middleweight division than ufc
the ufc welterweight division has been getting stronger tho, but very slowly
the middleweight, not so much
akiyama, Okami, Vitor, Marquardt, sonnen, wand, bisping, palhares, maia, a number of lhws that will have to move down
kos, rumble, thiago, fitch, diego, daley, ellenberger, alves, hardy, kim, lytle, saunders, story, taylor
mw is undoubtedly ufc's weakest division, but ww is pretty fucking stacked.
i wouldnt consider the welterweight division stacked just yet, as ive said before tho it has slowly been getting stronger
and diego doesnt even fight at welterweight anymore, only lightweight
but after watching the first episode of TUF 11, shit has fucken badass dudes who stay looking to knock fools the fuck out
shit has alotta potential badasses to strengthen up middleweight the division after the show
koscheck needs a title shot tho, shits been long overdue
i used to think maia was the challenge for silva but after what marquardt did.. and knowing silva is that much better with his standup, i find it hard to believe maia has any chance.. im curious how the ground game would go but i have a feeling we'll never get to see that much
Diego decided to move back up to WW after the Penn fight.
ahh.. i see, never heard about that
interesting, i personally would rather see him at lightweight
i never knew diego moved back up either i thought maybe he'd wanna make another run at penn guess not, then again penn might make a ww move? we'll see..
Thought kenny vs diego would've been a no brainer.
I thought he'd beaten Diego before his title shot. Apparently not. I'd have really liked to see how the two match up these days.
Here's the article: http://mmajunkie.com/news/17604/aft...z-returning-to-ufcs-welterweight-division.mma
And now he's fighting John Hathaway at UFC 114: Full UFC 114 fight card released, Duffee and Sanchez on PPV main card | MMAjunkie.com
lol, diego beat kenny in their ufc debut
i remember seeing that fight live when it happened, i actually seen the entire tuf 1 season
ufc 114 is stacked as fuck tho, damn.
i been anticipating duffees next fight
kid is a beast, potential competitor in the heavyweight division. duffee is the future
That shit cracked me up. Nah... I'm picking Anderson because I have a hard time believe he can get Anderson to the ground. Rousimar Palhares could but Maia can't (IMO). If it goes to the ground, Maia could easily win tho'. But he's gonna have to get it to the ground with a good amount of time left in the round.
Yeah, I saw that match. For some reason I thought they rematched and Kenny came out on top. Kenny's twice the fighter he was then, It would have been a great fight.
Kenny's one of the most improved fighters we've ever seen in MMA imo.
went from okay jiu jitsu guy to probably the second best lightweight in the world.
