These are fake vertical leaps that some of these 54", 56" guys claim to have.

They either hang up a pole at 56" or count how high they get when they bend their knees... which it padding the actual leap.

A real vertical leap you stand straight up and reach as high as you can... that spot is marked, then you jump straight up and touch as high as you can and makr that spot.

The different between the two is your vert

They are fake verticals that people exaggerate or they don't know how to measure a vertical.

that more of showing he is flexible

On all of his dunks I see his head gets rim high... thats 10 feet... and he is 5'10"

So thats a 4 feet 2 inch difference... which is 50 inches

if the rims are regulation and if his head gets rim high

No doubt he has a monster vertical. I don't know if it's 56" or whatever. The only one where his head gets above the rim looks VERY suspect.

I know Iverson used to have a mean ass vertical. Remember some of the dunks he used to pull early in his career? I mean dunking a lob pass one handed falling away from the hoop. I remember seing a couple of those in his early days.

All of those numbers do get boosted for sure.
