A band that's only good live or a band that's only good in the studio?

I can't stand a band that does no good in the studio.

    Two different worlds.

A live performance is about the interaction between the band and the audience, while a record is about letting the songs stand on their own.

A good live band can make you forget about the fact that their material sucks. It happens a lot.

Yeah, I'm always creating my own little gay phrases to replace conventional ones.

I even get bored of plain old English.

    Studio.

A good live act is soooo hard to find, so it's more valuable for me personally. I really liked ColdPlay and Metric... they don't drink while they play.

studio. if a band can't get it done in the studio, i'd have no desire to see them live.

i saw this band architecture in helsinki play live, and the show changed my opinion of their studio work. the album sounded good, was well produced, etc., but i didn't really take a shining to it. the live show was so wild, though, that now when i listen to the album i appreciate it a lot more.
