Text is dead just about everywhere bro.
Text died with closet studios.
You could try signing up for the RBL?
Checking it out right now.
We're taking a 2 week break before we have a short run up to the tourney to rank seeds. Feel free to sign up, though, it will pick up soon.
Text isn't dead; Deth did not Stryque it. I'm having a battle with Authent!c whom I'm about to murder soon as I get a free hour to keystyle tonight. Should be able to start writing around 7pm PST if all goes as planned.
If you wanna battle? I'll be happy to oblige you. Anyone else want it? Let's go. 2 rounds 48 bars with flips or 3 rounds...2 rounds battle and 1 round topical. Battle rounds could be 24 bar caps and topical is 48 bar cap...although I prefer every round to be unlimited or 48 bar caps. Let's get it in.

I used to write on here all the time a couple years ago....are people still doing it or what?
Text is where the talent actually begins! lol...if ya cant create bars, and rhymes that give a verse its flow then might as well not even do audio unless you got a ghostwriter lol
Basic text battlin shows only a small level of your writing skills..
Beginners (a year or less writing) should be able to put together a witty verse with a structure thats easily readable and preferably fluid to most readers...
Amateurs (a year or two writing) should have the penmanship abilities of beginners AND be able to interweave similes, metaphors, and personifications within sentences that clearly show jabs towards your opponent so, when read as a whole, the battle verse is full of flowing bars with disses...
Apprentice (two to four years writing WHILE studying the written word)
(Considered as a rookie by career lyricists) Should now begin to understand complex rhyme structures such as using subjective wording, symbolism, and purposefully using incorrect spelling and improper grammar to convey a desired message, or using connotation so the context of phrases have multiple meanings and interpretations...
Novice (five or more years writing and studying the art of lyricism)
Should be able to highlight an entire verse with multiple professional writing methods and applied techniques to create a fully orchestrated composition of lyrics worthy of being critically appraised.
Veteran (eight or more years and still going!) Should be able to put together whole verses with over 40 bars within hours without losing rhythm or the intricate rhyme schemes; all while keeping the compositions elaborate mix of symbolism, rhetoric, and the carefully placed labyrinth of words.
Master Lyricists-Can do all of the above while being selective with synonyms, definitions, and antonyms to rearrange phrases and sentences so you can write verses with a million different rhythms just by interchanging wordplay
Separate names with a comma.
