where do yall rank kanye lyrically

    I think Kanye used to have moments of lyrical brilliance but now not so much. As a pure lyricist I'd rank him pretty low maybe a round the latter half of the 50's but as an artist I'd argue he's top 5 maybe even number 1

    Skipping past all the posts....

    Prior to Yeezus I would say that lyrically he's underrated, simply because of the emotion he puts into his lyrics. Similar to Pac, he's not the most complex dude but he puts it out there in a way that's really dope. I think part of it is that he produces his own shit so he knows EVERYTHING about the emotions of the songs, the flow and feel, etc...

    But if everything from now on is going to sound like Yeezus then totally disregard what I just said and only listen to College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation and MBDTF. If he keeps on pace with what he did with Yeezus I'll have no reason to try and defend him
