well i gotta say, as a 72yr old, i cant connect with a lot of young new rappers subject matter. I still love hip hop, but if dude is talkin about childish shit and still callin women bitches and talkin about drinking slurpees and hanging at the dance club...i just cant get into that stuff.

Old people don't buy albums or keep up with music? Whoa ... no wonder Bulgaria or whatever-it-is is such a miserable country. LOL

See that's why you ain't down. That's why when rappers start talking about keeping it real, you fall asleep. If you're man enough to drink a Slurpee you should be man enough to rap about it. Spit it how you live it.

Yes, because it's a priority for old people to be up to par with music at all cost, right - especially in Bulgaria, or whatever-it-is is such miserable country. LOL.

Music means jack shit when people can't even afford life necessities with their paychecks/pensions.

In your miserable country, Bulgaria or whatever-it-is, old people might not care about the latest polka song on the charts. But in my country old people very much care about the latest calypso, because they grew up with it. And HipHop heads I know in their 40's still check for rap like that. Where I'm from hiphop is a culture, not a fringe youth hobby like it is in Bulgaria.

That's because people over here actually grow out of the "hip hop gangsta stage" knowing it's nothing more than a fad. ;)

music is what everyone in the whole world has in common.
everyone likes music, poor, rich, sick, dying, and regular joes

i wouldnt say rap is a fad. Its a style just like classical is.

enjoying ganster rap is like enjoying an entertaining movie.... most people who like it dont actually want to be gangsters and go out an pim hoes and shoot dudes in the faces. Its entertainment
