Surprising no one said Maxwell. "Urban Hang Suite" and his first album was classic IMO

Ah man, I loveeee After 7. Lord we need them again. A lot of those groups were before I became a fan though and I'm still working my way back one year at a time picking up what I can. And against the trend... I'm not much of a fan of Jodeci. I think the music picked up tremendously when the group shed its weight and just became Kci & Jojo.

I agree with the comment about Jodeci...

Kci and JoJo are better off without the extra weight

Avant? Ee.... He's aight, some tight tracks (Get Away, and Wanna Be are the shit) but I don't know if I'd ever be able to call him a top ten. Too much uptempo garbage that sounds the same.

    Nice list besides though...

Eh, I find most of Jodeci's stuff to be boring and repetitive. They might have a few nice joints but nothing that could hold a candle to Kci & Jojo's All My Life, Suicide, It's Real, How Long Must I Cry, Makin Me Say Goodbye, All the Things I should Have Known, Last Night's Letter or even Down for Life :).

I on the other hand know of few artists that have so comprehensively changed their sound as Jodeci did in the course of their 3 album run. K-Ci & Jojo are nice and they have nice songs but they are hardly innovative or groundbreaking to me,which Jodeci undoubtedly was. You'll find people like Timbo and Missy on their 2nd recording, 'A Diary of A Mad Band' which IMO, has he hardest beats I've ever heard on any RnB CD. Very unique sound. But that's the beauty of the human experience. That we all have such different perceptions for basically the same thing. That's what makes the world go round I guess.
