or some of them if more than one. this probably won't get many responses, but the alley needed a subject I give a shit about.

I like some of the old shit, like the solo on FreeBird by Lynard Skynard...shit's amazing, I used to play a little, mostly Metalica stuff, because my older brother taught me when I was 9, but I never could get fast enough to do the solo I like ^

    stairway to heaven

evenflow..took me a few days to get down the main rhythm part..mccready and gossard are underrated guitarists.

man in the box...simple with exception to the solo, but still dope as fuck.

all of the riffs i've composed

I like simple man by skynard. actually a lot of it's good.

it's weird how some of the most famous riffs are easy as fuck. smoke on the water, heartbreaker, iron man, purple haze, all of black sabbath.

Yea, while I mainly deal with Rap, and R&B, I still love some of that older shit, Skynard, Black Sabbath, Santana, Motorhead, AC/DC, my family is pretty diverse in music, so I learned to like most all of it....except country, I cannot stand listening to some faggot in a straw hat crying over his dog.

    smells like teen spirit, etc.

simpler stuff tends to always be catchier. i don't mind heavy power chord usuage or a simplistic solo as long as the song has meaning and the riff matches the mood. which is basically why i listen to nirvana.

some of the most intricate artsy riffs can bore me half to fucking death.

word. i gotta install aim again soon.

lately, anything i've written has been uninspired and shitty and I usually just get bored with it.

motorhead's great. I usually don't go for the "noise for the pure sake of making noise" sound but they do good with it.

yeah, metallica ruled when they played mustaine's riffs and sucked when they ran out and had to write their own. coincidence? i think not.
