Whats the best thing to drink before a workout.??

    I usually drink a half a can of Lo Carb Monster and a chocolate edge shake... if you've never heard of it here is the info...

    i drink glutamine after the work out


    i just eat a piece of fruit before. i would just drink water unless our looking for crazy amounts of energy

    depends what youre doing. coffee is a cheap way to get a stimulant/thermogenic in which is good for both lifting and cardio, problem with coffee is how it sits with other things in your stomach. if i take anything its usually a monster or some kind of energy drink. you seem to be already aware of checking the carb/sugar content (which will obviously vary on your goals) so thats good.

    is what you posted from like a 24 pack of cans or something?

    Its from the 4 pack (paper cartons)of EAS. I buy them from Walmart and yes Crazy amounts of energy is what I'm looking for,lol.

    drink an energy drink if you want to hit the weights for some quick energy. just hit up some gatorade or water if you're looking to lose weight because you want to have stamina for your run and not crash near the end.

    water or milk. id stay away from all the processed energy drinks, its all garbage in the ingredients

    milk is great to drink pre-WO. its got cassein and whey, which is reccomended for preworkout. not everyone considers "working out" to be 14 miles on the treadmill for an hour and a half, some people actually still lift.

    If you work out HARD, I dont care what you do.... Milk would make most people puke if they're not COASTING in the gym.

    ive never had a problem with it. only thing thats ever upset my stomach is coffee or fish oil PreWO, i had the two at the same time one day and threw up at the bus stop 15 mins later.

    anyway, i definately dont "coast" at the gym and like i said its never given me problems. i generally get to the gym about a half hour-45 mins after i have it but then i grab a power bar and eat it immediately before lifting and still no problems.

    also didnt you mention that you dont really hit the weights either?

    Different people can handle it. I know some guys would drink milk before a basketball game. Most of us were wondering how the hell they did it.

    No, i dont lift for mass.

    I'm high octane. So milk would make me puke.
