So, what's are the differences between small and large diaphram condensor mics? My friend owns an Audio Technica AT3035, which is a large diaphram condensor mic. I'm looking into a AKG C2000B, the guy claims is a small diaphram mic. Now, I'm not sure if he's right about THAT mic having a small diaphram, but that got me wondering: what exactly is the difference, aside from the size, obviously. Is there any quality difference? Is one meant more for certain tasks than the other? Anyway, if any of you have any knowledge on this topic could you please let me know. Thanks.
