    What if boxing had a winner take all format, do you think that would hurt or help the sport??

    As in winner takes all of the purse?

    THAT, could go two ways.

    1) Both fighters fight harder and go to new lengths to win a fight.
    or 2) You see even less competitive fights, as the top elite fighters hand-pick lesser opponents more so than they do now, as to not risk the upset and losing all of the purse.

    yeah..

    and it would hurt the fighters most of all...

    imagine breaking your jaw, and your nose and come home with nothing..

    People like Margarito wouldnt be making all these challenges... cuz he wouldnt come home with anything after he loses

    Indeed, im conflicted on it too, on one hand it may make the fights more intense, might not have seen Tyson get his whipped the way he did, if this was the case, but at the same time, boxing dont so much get paid for the fight as they get compensated for trainging and shit.

    Still this shit might something to implement on a small scale or with stupulation like only in big name title fights or some shit, i'd like to see it, just to see how things would go

    and with these "bad decisions" in boxing..

    i wouldnt be surprised to see someone get murked over the money..
