    lol @ g-rob

shawn marion still had some pretty damn good help around him, and they couldn't muster anything better than a 24-point loss???

oh yeah, 8 ppg in last year's playoff series against the spurs. 8!

0 assists last night when everybody was red-hot with their shooting. still stands... SUCKS at creating his own offense and offense for others. could never lead a squad to the playoffs as a franchise cornerstone.

boris diaw = phoenix's 2nd best player behind nasty nash

    case closed.

18 points and 11 boards for mr MVP Shawn Marion. He played 42 minutes..

Sorry old Boris only put up 16/9/9.

And amazing defense Marion put down on helping deny Parker and the Spurs guards the lane.

Wait, what's that you say... Parker scored 29 points in 28 minutes? Ginobili scored 16 on 6-8 shooting?

Still think Marion is this super humungous baller whose game is not benefitted hugely by playmakers??? He did absolutley shit against the Spurs, like he did last year.

How do you have ZERO assists playing for the Suns? You think he'd be able to at LEAST get an easy one in transistion.

Oh yeah, that's right, he's not a playmaker.

They should've traded Marion for Diaw and tried to hang onto J.J. [funny]

When has Marion 'carried' the load?

Marion does all the little things, because he's not a 'carry the load' player. He doesn't have the offensive game to be the main feature. It's important to have player like this on your team, but your giving him far too much credit.

He's not an initiator, will never be a first option on the offense.

Marion a super athletic, clean up the garbage guy, that's why he's had these bloated stats with the Suns up tempo offense.

He's a support player, a great one, but a support player nonetheless.

He is made exponentially better with the level of players around him, IE NASH, AMARE, DIAW...

Marion is very good basketball player, but not even close to the caliber of an MVP. Marion is a big cog on the Suns team, but he's not the one who makes them turn.

Marion's stats are more of a reflection of his teams success, than Marion's individual brilliance.
