    UFC on Fuel TV 3:
    Korean Zombie VS Poirier

    THIS TUESDAY, MAY 15th
(6 Fights on this card, so there is a big chance for IMPROVEMENT!)

    6-Fight Main-Card INCLUDES:
Dustin Poirier vs. Chan Sung Jung @ Featherweight.
Jorge Lopez vs. Amir Sadollah @ Welterweight.
Donald Cerrone vs. Jeremy Stephens @ Lightweight.
Jeff Hougland vs. Yves Jabouin @ Bantamweight.
Fabio Maldonado vs. Igor Pokrajac @ Light-heavyweight.
Tom Lawlor vs. Jason MacDonald @ Middleweight.

Though this card has no belt shots or number 1 contender fights, I think it will still provide LOTS of excitement; The Korean Zombie is no joke, finishing his last two fights impressively over known fighters Mark Hominick and Leonard Garcia. Amir Sadollah I know for a fact used to fight at Middleweight, so he should posses some power at Welter. Couple that in with fan favorites Donald Cerrone and Jason Macdonald fighting (in different bouts of course) and I think we may again have a night full of finishes :D.

(Please make your picks easy to understand, THANKYOU!!!!!)

Since I've done so poorly thinking about fights, I just picked. First name that came to mind of the two.

MacDonald--I think MacDonald is too experienced and too multidimensional for the colorful, hard nosed gnp'ing Lawlor. I think that MacDonald will try to keep it on his feet. I hope MacDonald has fully recovered from his previous gruesome injury; if so? And if he's continued to work on his standup without slipping on his jits game? He should win this by decision or TKO. Never saw Lawlor work from his back against a guy like MacDonald before. If Jason can get out of the first round? He should win.

Maldonado--Maldonado has decent hands but lacks standup defense. Igor is definitely a gnp and sub man, so it will probably be an unlovely affair with Maldonado taking a close decision victory or TKO...via strikes or using strikes to set up gnp. Igor does have the grinder's chance to win though. This one's close. I'm not lovin Maldonado despite the fact that he rolls with Black House; he's too hittable. But Igor doesn't look he's possessed of sufficient striking skill to expose Maldonado unless he just lands a bomb on Maldonado's grill.

Cerrone--I think he's too technically sound for Stephens. I like Jeremy Stephens, but his standup DEFENSE leaves holes that the long lanky Cerrone should be able to exploit.

Poirier--This is another pick 'em fight, but I think Poirier has slightly cleaner mechanics in the striking DEFENSE department. Neither of them are Floyd defensively, and both need to definitely clean up the technical execution of their stand-up. But this one should NOT be boring.

Sadollah--I like Lopez, but Idk if he has the sprawl n brawl to keep Sadollah off of him. I would give Lopez the edge standing up and Sadollah the edge in the clinch AND on the ground. Honestly, I don't want either of these guys to lose, I like them both. It's kind of a tossup as they're both closely matched up and comers, but I give Amir the edge here because I think that he has the major trump card of being able to determine where the fight goes. If Lopez suddenly displays a sicc sprawl? He should win. Buuuuttt...I don't think he can keep Amir off of him for 2 rounds, which is what he needs to do to win.

Yves Jabouin--Now this is a bit of a risk. Yves is definitely the better striker of the two, but he's susceptible to the ground game, as his thrilling fight with Mark Hominick proves. I think that he's trained a bit with GSP [ mostly from their joint gym ] and if he's spent more time at Tr-Star or with some of GSP's training crew? He should win. Otherwise Houghton could gnp him as that's Houghton's game.

Almost pointless to do a breakdown now, not much time left in the week. I may throw one down after work today though if I have time, even if it's in the wii hours of the morning.
