I think there was a thread like this on here ages ago, but i wanted to make a new one, 'cause i've got a question about a vocal sample. Hopefully someone will be able to tell me where it's from.

Alright i never really thought about this properly until recently, but does anyone know where the fuck that vocal sample used on all the old Death Row albums is from? I'm talking about the "Like we always do about this time.." sample used on all the well-known G-Funk albums like The Chronic, Doggystyle, Dogg Food usually on the intro track. I always just thought it was a 2Pac line from his first album or something (it kinda sounds like him) and never really gave it two thoughts. But recently i've been listening to all my old G-Funk records again, and now this is bugging me.

It's probably obvious as hell, so if you know where it's from, help me out.

And if you want any other samples ID'd, drop them in here and i'll see if i can help.

Good question. It's prolly from a movie. Or maybe it's George Clinton.
