lol go head and tune ur kicks, its completely unnecessary, i think itd be awfully hard to tell what note a kick drum is playing.

hm... interesting.... mayn it makes sense, everythin has a frequency (pitch)... but ionno how much better a mix is gunna be if you kicks are tuned right... but bet you if you apply that to all your percussion, shit would sound different...

mayn is there a tool/program to use to figure out the pitch, besides NN-XT pitch detection?

Load up an 808 kick, and a bass patch....tune the two, and play em on different notes.....:frown:

But if u play em on the same notes/ in the same scale, theres no frequency collision, so you dont have to do no EQuin and take out the thump of your kick or vice versa

If you dont have Reason...what id do is load up a sub bass patch which is already tuned, play Middle C, and get your kick....loop the middle of it so its like a saw wave, and run your fingers up and down the keyboard till you find the correct note...then work from there

lol@using 808 as an example. dog 808's are just like bass.. so yea you have to pitch them.. but if your sitting there wasting time on pitching a damn kick than well... you are retarded. not you but in general.

So Scott Storch is retarded? Interesting Hypothesis you have here Premize. I guess that makes Dr. Dre (who taught him the technique) an idiot aswell.

who the fuck would actually sit there and TUNE ONE kickdrum anyway, if theres 30,000 that MIGHT have the sound u want

    niggas think too much.

u tune live snares/ kick drums, etc

not sampled shit.. (excluding the 808)

yall can tune all yall want.. a "tuned" kickdrum wont make ur track hot.
