I'm not going back through the stuff but wasn't one of your big reasons for putting Elway over Favre was his victory over Favre in the Super Bowl? If so what about Montana's thrashing of Elway in the Super Bowl they faced off in?

    thats still pretty good.

but he went to a superbowl his sophmore year i believe

elway and favre have better numbers than montana.

montana is 3rd on the list...i only said elway beat favre in the superbowl cause that would be the decider for them because they was both at they fullest potential.

think about it. my list works

You're thinking of Marino, he went in his second year. Elway didn't go for the first time until his 4th year.

hes still the overall greatest when it comes to moving the ball down the field in anyway

    elway>favre>montana>marino>young/manning

its process of elimination and common sense and analyzing

Favre over Montana is ludicrous. Montana doesn't have half the stinkjobs Favre has put up, some of which in the playoffs.

Plus is also depends on what people's criteria is. Like are they going by strictly stats orphysical attributes or a combination or surrounding talent or SB rings, all that mess.

favre accomplished more and had a better arm. maybe not as athletic but he has had less to work with and still has the best stats in the game

favre gets the nod after this season over montana...its close very close, but just because of this year he had hes above montana...

im looking at every possible criteria. talent, SBs, team, versatility, arm, accuracy, all that mess

they both had talent around them

favre was more hit or miss but his hits were spectacular

everybody remembers montana for one huge pass

favre had endurance , never got hurt...... which is why he was able to incinerate the record books

which is why hes the GOAT IMO

    i already proved myself right

elway - made the best 2 minute drives, best overall arm IMO

    favre...

they played each other at similiar points in there career. favre was a little younger but it was a fair even bout. elway won....farve is second because he was putting up 4K yards until h ewas 38 and he has the best stats, incredibly strong arm

montana very creative and elusive, made clutch passes, very talented

marino - the exact same as tom brady when it comes to playing the game but also his opposite with the no superbowls vs 3. tom brady cheated to get those 3 anyway, hes not even top 15. anyone who has tom brady that high is a fucking idiot. marino shits on him....favre just recently broke all his records...marino is #4 all time

as of now steve young is here. speed and elusiveness maybe even better than elways, MAYBE...very very accurate, great heart, great stats. when manning retires we will have the #5 spot.

at least i prove my reasons double....dont you have a job? your a balding 30 year old go do something

I recognized Tarkenton, Unitas, and I would have Starr just outside of my Top 5.

fuck a unitas he would get smased today

    he has one superbowl

you niggas just dickride whatever you hear, ive seen more unitas highlights than any of you....he smoked cigars at half time. he couldnt be as good as someone who trained all day....

they have more plays in this day and age there was more shit to learn there were more practice procedures

i say top 5 as in who is the BEST OVERALL of all time...

unitas is top 10 but nothing more.

favre > starr by a lot

just because u win the first superbowl dont mean shit

    Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Montana was the best ever at the 2 minute drive, ya know he had an ability to actually drive his team all the way to the end zone, wierd *cough (Brady) shit *cough (wouldn't have a ring if Vinitari didn't save his ass 3 times), damn allergies... and Marino had a better arm, Tecmo Bowl proves that. I don't have to speak on it.

elways famous play is called "the drive"

yeah montana had some great ones, that one famous catch was a big one...but elways most famous drives was in his 4th year and his senior year of college...he was known for making drives, if there was one QB you want the ball in with 2 left id give it to john everytime
