I'm sure this has been discussed time and time before on this forum, but I haven't participated yet... lol

    1. Grandmaster Flash

I put him at #1 because he was the first to set the bar, there was a little piece of him in EVERYBODIES material, his flow was the base which people like rakim, boogie down, and everyone after him built their flow off of

    2. Rakim

He brought lyricism to the game. Rakim changed it forever and that's inarguable, he turned rap into something you have to pay attention to rather than just bob your head to. It's no doubt I can bob my head to him though

    3. KRS ONE

I chose him as #3 because he introduced conscious rap. Something that should definitely not be taken lightly. Not easy to put into words but if you know krs you know why I rank him at 3

I'm gonna leave 4 and 5 for discussion, not that 1 2 3 arent but im havin trouble with 4 and 5...

    If we're talking about who was the most talented;

    1. Tupac
    2. Big L
    3. Big Pun
    4. Biggie
    5. Nas

In terms of pure talent, I couldn't possibly disagree with you twamp, but I WOULD place biggie below pun and L. Only because I think biggie was mostly worth his unique flow

Tupac just had everything, was flawless in every way. He had the perfect flow, the rhymes were there, he could fit a thousand words into 4 bars, and them beats... ooo WEE. I think Tupac as #1 (In terms of talent rather than their impact) is absolutely inarguable

THANK YOU!... LOL... you don't know how long I've been saying this in so many words... Eminem can RHYME his ass off, but he don't be saying shit MOST of the times... although "Rap God" is hot... can't front... Eminem does have some classic songs, but I don't think he has any classic albums... and I don't care largely for his productions.

    Welcome to the forum btw..

If were talking about most talented I would replace Big L and pun with jay and eminem.

In all honesty I could get technical. L and pun are 2 of the best, but when it comes down to it I dont see pun or L making a Loose yourself or dead presidents 2

If it's my top 5 favorites all time then it's

Fabolous, twists, eminem, Andre 3k, Juelz/nas

    Atm it would be

Kevin gates, Kendrick, rich homie, drake, lil durk. Honorable mentions future, krit, asap Rocky, meek mills

Pure talent... I know I'll get shit for this but oh well

Eminem, fab/nas, pun, Andre, kendrick. Favorite writers and most talented imo drake getting there and I enjoy Pac and big and think they were the best of their time but who I mentioned were better.

Right now there's no one touching my #1 Apathy or #2 Greydon Square. Much like @OutLaw613 - it's all about mood music..
