I'm not a fan of anything on your list except Slaughterhouse and ATLien Workshop.

I would have put the Domo Genesis & Alchemist - No Idols on here, probably added Big K.R.I.T. - Live from the Underground, Heems - Wild Water Kingdom, Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music.

I actually wouldn't have made one anything like yours.

EDIT: Action Bronson's Rare Chandeliers too. I'm on an Alchemist kick.

Not to mention Kendrick Lamar. Or that Black Hippy Mixtape. or All Joey Bada$$ everything.

Also the leak of A$AP Rocky's new joint was really gooooood.

Yeah Alchemist is easily one of my favorites and the MVP for this year hands down. So many dope projects released by him yearly and this year he released 7 projects and they all dope.

Did you get a chance to scan thru that list I threw together for the 2012 End of the Year Wrap Up?

The fuck is wrong with having more then a Top 10? You should really go through this list and get familiar with these names if you are not already. Your entire list I know very well, it's just not the stand out shit from this year.

I have...and for the most part I don't care for most of them you did list. It is hard to narrow down 10 of my favorites. I could probably post my ten most listened to, but then again i could just link you to my last fm page or something.

I did. It's actually what reminded me of the great stuff I missed this year and had to go check out so much.

BTW that Roc Marciano was fucking great. Talk about a bad friggin lyracist.

Why cats hating on the mans choices. Obviously he has a preference of style that might be different than yours which would change your list

The battlers he did list are all battlers known by many to be exceptions to the rule ATLien Workshop is pure heat

Marv Won best album from a battler no question "Winner Circle" is fire.

Some of the ratings are off

Well, to be technical, no canibus, the lists are meant to highlight the best hiphop in 2012... if battlers don't make that list, they don't make that list. Doesn't mean it's not a decent album, just in comparison it doesn't get the mention the others do on a purely hip hop aspect. Not on some, "oh yeah, I seen that dude battle and he can rap good on beats too". I don't care if you battle rap or not. A bunch of rappers were battlers to begin with on their corners, not on some Youtube shit anyway. So, the list of battle rappers is void and null, good quality hip hop in reference to other great hip hop in the past is all that is listed.
