Accidentally stumbled upon an ongoing petition, of which the goal is to prevent the Kardashians from selling fur in their stores and is sponsored by Joanna Krupa, trying to put an end to this..

    http://www.thepetitionsite.com/28/Stop-Selling-Fur-Kardashians/

Not sure how much good this petition will do, but talking about the Kardashians gives them more popularity, and keeps then in people's faces. So in a way, the petition does the opposite of what they wish to achieve by it.

I dont see any proplem whatsoever with wearing fur. not if it keeps you warm and fuzzy. and especially not if the animal source of the fur died of natural causes.

I specifically only wear fur from animals which were victims of heart disease or stroke. Infact theres a guy i know here in the wilds that goes around looking for animals such as was betherforthly aquisited. Months at a time, just roamin'.

Well, I'm pro fur, as well as pro leather...however my closet doesn't contain anything that would be deemed on the verge of extinction...for winters here, I consider it a must.

Animals are exactly that. Survival of the fittest. If they knew how to wear me they'd do it but they don't.

fake fur is every bit (well nearly!) as beautiful as real fur, I just wouldn't feel good about wearing fur.

Speaking of paint throws...wasn't there an incident during a fashion week years back when Peta rushed to the runway when one of the models was wearing a fur jacket/coat/vest/ ~ [something like that], and they either threw pain on her, or simply just protested ~ not sure, though.

I got an idea for the Fur Mongers..

instead of allowing all the ferrel cats and stray dogs roam the cities. How about rounding them up, killing them and using their fur?

    I would rock a Ferrel cat coat, wouldn't you??..lol

yeah (that was what I meant by my comment lol) they do it often, several super models have been targeted for wearing fur, not sure its the best way to change opinions

I think they 'got' Naomi Campbell - given her well documented rages I bet it was 'interesting'

No one (in any modern state) should be wearing fur in 2012.

We need to learn to respect our animal companions in our journey.

The same goes for Kosher and Halal slaughter, that shit needs to be banned.

She's one of the people I wouldn't approach with protesting against anything...especially if she had a blackberry in hand. She made cell phones lethal. :funny:

I'm always curious why people in my city protest against fur, when wearing leather shoes themselves, or having animal skin rugs at home.

I know... I was being my usual semi joking semi serious self with my comments in here, but truly - I couldn't wear one.

You are spot on Gal - what about leather shoes/bags/coats/dresses etc etc etc?
It seems different, especially given the well documented horrific history of 'fur farms'
the thought of an animal bred, living a life that at best could be described as unnatural & at worst a life of misery, simply for its fur its something I just wouldn't want to support in any way.
