I always liked Lauryn since "I Get Out". I mean, I liked her since 'The Score', more specifically since "Killing Me Softly" but it was "I Get Out" that made me want to know more about her. She is dope AF and so real man.

And this new joint is different but I really like it. I really don't know what you guys would think, but damn I only expect you guys don't dismiss it because of the 'big words' because it's not like gibberish, shit means something.

"Helping people cope, selling dope from a new trope
Synthetic hope, life spent walking on a tightrope
    Infantile masturbation, juvenile, no education
Mental castration, a generation forced to labor for a nation"

She's the one that got me into this genre of music, but will probably be the one to get me off it as well.

There's things that are starting to bother me when it comes to tracks of this nature - she offers no solutions for venting about consumerism frustration. But then again, she's one of those who felt are above tax evasion, so forgive me if I'll refrain from taking her seriously on anything involving economical models..

She is still one of the Top 3 Female Rappers All Time to me. She may not have the solution but by venting her views on it, will open the eyes of others which may help find a solution in the long run. Gotta Love Lauryn Hill.

It doesn't have the soulful feel she used to have in her music
