    At least to me.

    Meet Aelita Andre.

She has been painting since she was 9 months old. Her works are breathtaking to say the least. Still only a few years old, her art has sold for up to $24,000 a piece.

I'm literally blown away, not just by her art, but by......well, her.

    Must watch.

    $24,000...

This is why I hate the entire art community...

^See that oil painting, showing incredible technique, dichotomy in mood and incredible usage of colors to express said dichotomy?

    Shit didn't sell for 24k.

But this little girl whose daddy probably owns an art gallery dances on a fucking canvas...

It's a fucking joke. No wonder no one takes art seriously anymore.

To each their own, but I believe she falls under the category of 'child prodigy'.

Who cares what style of art it is, if people want it, they'll buy it.

The funny thing is, they did her first exhibition without revealing how old she was. The guests and buyers had no idea.

If she continues, her pieces are going to be worth a lot more than that, especially later on, I believe.

No I love art but when shit like this happens...

As an artist myself, it'd be like a kid hitting a whole bunch of random shit on a keyboard then someone buys the beat for 20k. I'd probably want to quit music forever.

    nope.

i'm not that in tune with everybody who lives here.

i can see the big deal behind her but i don't think there's much thought involved.

    I was just curious.

I see a brilliant young mind when I see her, but that's me.

    Call me crazy.

i'm not denying her brilliance, which as keeper pointed out is thanks to her parents for letting her do this.

but i just see a little white girl getting messy with paint, give any kid her age paint and the same result will happen.

In general, I would agree, but I really think there is a method to her madness.

Most kids will use a brush, maybe their hands...they won't be able to think beyond that and implement different tools and techniques.

Also, I think most kids artwork would be repetitive and feature rainbows and stick figures.

I dunno, I just see something different going on here.

parents: i have an idea. let's let her play with paint.
    baby: does shit with paint
parents: i bet we could sell that

    and so the story begins.

this fake "modern" bullshit art is bullshit. they gave a kid paint to play with. another jackson pollack throwing paint around and scamming the world like it means anything more than paint splashed on the canvas
