That raw shit when he was on his Treach flow... lol... love the scratchin' on this, too... in case you didn't know, Treach was his idol when he first started rappin'... and he honed his skills in the mid '90s out in Jerz when he was hangin' wit the Outsidaz clique... Young Zee, Pacewon and them.

I'm not feelin' the watered down Eminem for suburbia too much.

Some people say I'm strange, I tell them ain't shit change
I'm still the same lame asshole with a different name
Became late to the last show
    with a different dane
Brain ate from the last ode that I snifed the cane
Yo know your spaced the fuck out like George Lucas
When your pukus, turnin to yellow with orange mukus
So when I grab a pencil and squeeze it between fingers
I'm not a rapper, I'm a demon who speaks English
    Freak genuis
, too extreme for the weak and squeemish
Burn you alive till you screamin to be extinquished
Cause when I drop the science, motherfuckers tell me to stop the violence

Ive never heard that, im feeling it alot tho. Em was so dope until encore where he was still nice but he lacked direction and its been a downward spiral since then. Hes still got the skills he just has nothing to rap about and his ear for beats left him.

Ive never liked lupe, hes not a bad mc at all. Im just not at all interested in any of his music. I remember not too long ago alot of people on this forum thought lupe was top 25 ever....

There's a song were Eminem clearly took LL style too. Good he ended up finding his style.

I always liked Eminem, his really old stuff, his shady stuff where he still had that high-pitched voice, his Marshall Mathers-Renegade style.. Everything but the latest era he is on.

Ig, this shit is extremely dope... I heard this back in the day when i first started looking for old eminem tracks online. but the thing is, he IS using treach's style. hes kind of biting in this. like hes trying so hard to be his favorite rapper.

I thought you weren't a fan of style jacking.

and the watered down Em came in 2010... late in his career... you cant be hot forever.

oh yeah Ignorant, one more thing... have you heard Infinite? its slightly similar to this and it has the minimalist boom-bap production you always talk about.

hes definitely a top 25 rapper. The Cool and F&L and 2 of the best rap albums ive ever heard in my life. F&L 2 is awesome... his worst album is Lasers which isn't even that bad... just bad for his standards.

LOL... I'm ambivalent about that, sometimes... he was still underground and unsigned back then, so I forgive him... if he continued it throughout his career, then I wouldn't like it... I like that song "Nuttin' to Do" with Royce, too... "forget a chorus/ my metaphor is so complicated, it takes 6 minutes to get applause/ and by the time you all catch on/ I'm a end your career and walk away with the whole floor so you'll have nothing to fall back on"... I LOVE that line.

"Pull a fuckin' headache out of my head/ then put it in yours."

Eminem was rawer before he blew... I liked him up until '99... and I liked his features through much of the '00s... but his albums bent too far to commercial appeal for me... and then the yellin' started... just couldn't take it

Hey Dream, since you like Lupe so much, how do you feel about Talib Kweli and Wordsworth? Two other high pitched voice rappers... imo, Kweli was easily one of the best rappers of the '00s... and BET didn't even have him in their top 10, I don't think... he has at least 2 classics and the rest of his albums are GREAT... his last one is probably just good... Word's "Mirror Music" is a slept on classic...

I mean, since you like creating "life music" and you like other "life music" rappers... those are two of the best at it.

    agreed one hunnid percent.

i liked it when he was trying to rap like masta ace too, though.

i was going to make a "this is the lupe fiasco i enjoy", and post some of his older work too, but fuck it.
