    I always thought that within these top ten discussion threads, people should always list their criteria.

    I never really use influence his a highly rated criteria, which is why Tupac doesn't really make my top ten.

    Criteria means nothing when you have limited knowledge of the subject you're rating... "greatest of all time" should go beyond your individual perspective, which is what "favorite" is about.

    For a genre that's almost 40 years old, most posters tend to stay within the last 20 years... some within the last 10.

    I base it mostly on lyrics, some on importance to me. My top 10 ain't nothing like ordinary peoples, and it changes a bit every few years. Top of my head these must be high up: El-P, Aesop Rock, Buck65, Eyedea, Chuck D, Mobb Deep (count as 1 to me), Cormega, Eminem, Jehst, Yelawolf.
