Both HUGE dissapointments, although Mos says he has a new more, strait laced hip hop album on the way which has me optomistic.

Beautiful Struggle was a classic to me (EVERYONE'S GONNA DOG ME FOR THIS)... I loved every track on it and I liked his concepts, content, lyricsm, beats, and more... he became my favorite MC with this album..... he was my second favorite MC before....

Mos Def's was HIGHLY disappointing because too much rock and singin'... I want that Black on Both Sides sequal... please Mos, drop somethin' dope

    Beautiful struggle.

Although both were on the dissapointing side, the second half of talib's album was cool.

^I'm with this cat, I love both of those albums. I like to see an artist challenge themself and experiment musically, so I'm feeling The New Danger a little more than Beautiful Struggle. I honestly think a lot of peeps was expecting Black on Both Sides 2 when ND came out and just didn't even give it a chance when it had a different sound to it. The whole album is dope to me and Kweli did some of his best work on Beautiful Struggle, there was only like 2 tracks I wasn't feeling on that one.

I dont know why people hate on BS. Yes, it's not as good as his first album, but it still was good.

Mos def took some heat because he tried something different. I like his courage for doing something different. I enjoy listening to most of his songs on the album.

    Anyways vote: BS

talib's BS is lyrically better than the new danger....easier to listen to despite the couple of songs that suck. but the new danger is......different. u can't really compare the two albums because mos came out of left field with this one. talib kept it hip hop. i vote for BS
