of course i know about tim thomas' past and talent. however, he's always been lazy and underachieving.

it was the wild, flowing, 60's hippie rebel hair of steve nash that inspired thomas to step up for the revolution.

    yeah. kobe bryant for MVP[funny]

the lakers were in that game up until the moment that kobe tried to start scorin'

shoulda just let luke & lamar keep doin' their thing

and if you don't know who tim thomas is, you obviously don't follow basketball

If Kobe takes more (25-30) shots, no matter how many he makes, they will lose...

a lot of nobodies are "good"

however, they're not good enough to put on the postseason performance tim thomas did without the off-court spiritual and on-court playbook guidance of a steve nash

    Correction.

He wasn't a nobody either, just as well known as a Jason Terry or Keith van Horn.

    They never should be.

But in an extremely close race this year, I doubt people are going to completely disregard LeBron's saturday afternoon showcase and Kobe's team staying in a playoff game with a 50+ win team without him scoring 45683792.2 points.

Like I said, his scoring accomplishments are overrated and blinding people into not seeing the true most "valuable" player.

    Lebron James >>>>>> Steve Nash.

The Suns have more talent, and more scoring options. Without the players Nash doesn't shine as bright.

In Cleveland everything funnels through James. He is the catalyst and focal point.

being valuable to your team IS offense, for the most part. you dont win games if you dont put points on the board. the point of assists is to create easy scoring opportunities. kobe has been shooting the ball efficiently for the most part, while being the focal point of the opposition's defense. so, while assists are important, and help get your teammates involved, being the go-to guy on your team is what real mvp's are made of. they arent afraid to take the last second shot of the game, they are true leaders of the team, including vocally, and most of all, they dont rely on others for their own success.

uh, for the record, tim thomas was GAHHBAGE in new york & milwaukee. don't even look at his career stats because those don't even tell the story. he'd get 25 one night, 2 the next, 5 the next, and 20 the next. the textbook inconsistent swing man.

and wtf is up with phoenix's players not named marion & nash getting so much hype. "without the players around nash, nash would be shit". such ignorance doesn't deserve a rebuttal. nash is even more of a catalyst than lebron is, but not as much the focal point.

how does kobe shoot under 40% against probably the worst defensive squad in the playoffs? prediction: 35 shots in game 2, he'll make 15 of them, and the lakers will lose.

ok so lebron dishes out more assists than kobe, and makes more last second shots than kobe does. so if you read carefully you just dq'ed ya boy from the mvp race yourself. lamar odom > big z, smush parker > eric snow...the cavs team is not much better without lebron than the lakers are without kobe.

how does lebron have more last second shots than kobe? on a couple of occasions lebron passed up the opportunity to take the last second shot. i'm sure he'll develop that killer instinct eventually because i do believe lebron will be better than jordan but as of right now, kobe is playing at a higher level than lebron is, given the circumstances
