    na, the olmpics uses Kilo in all weight lifting events, it doesn't matter if its in America or Europe. if its the olympics, its kilos.

    I didn't say the olympics uses kilos everywhere but the US. The olympics is an international event so I was implying they use the metric system.

    i dont mean completely with no force bounce off ya chest...but yea...he did bounce off his chest..its a term in weightlifting...its a slight bump off the chest that helps u get it past beginning stage of the bench...which is the hardest part of getting it up....it worst...i remember back in the day when i was early in weightlifting i was benching 225 max....then my coach came in and made me bench it WITHOUT bounce and i was stuck as shyt lol....


    dont get me wrong...bouncing off ya chest with 600 aint something to laugh at anyway lol.......but he did do it...he can prolly get 565 without the bounce

    touch ya chest with it...count 1 second...THEN push...is a true bench

    actually lifting heavy is the only way to get your fast twitch muscle fibers moving, which in turn will cause muscle growth. If a person were to only lift what they can do without a problem, they would be ripped and all, but lifting heavy is the only way to get your muscles growing. I dont usually go for a "max" but I do lift say 80 - 85 % of what I can handle, which is good for gaining size. stick around 4-6 reps at a weight that you can just do, and your sure to pack on muscle if your eating right.

    man I aint feeding you bullshit..

    these people who are jacked as fuck and aint lifting heavy are gifted genetically..

    its a very simple fact when training that to gain size, you have to lift heavier weights, Im not talking about your 100% max, Im talking about 80% of what your capable of. Most people who lift light weights are usually smaller but ripped as fuck. Ive been in a gym, and have known a few bodybuilders to know how to gain size. I aint shittin you. Getting size isnt only lifting weight, its lifestyle. Eating, sleeping, and training properly.

    No Good is right on both counts.


    Obviously lifting your one rep max on a consistant basis does nothing for you in any exercise unless you're pyramiding to it every workout.. but it's a burn out and not really worth doing anyways regularly.. it's kinda like testing yourself, but for growth it's pointless..

    I have yet to meet a genetically gifted person who was "jacked" who didn't lift weights or work in some sort of physycal job and/or train/play sports in some way.

    I've seen guys who were cut up "ripped" per se with abs nice tone musculature bodies and what not, cause that was their body type... but not because they were big guys...


    theres always gonna be guys were are just plain big and massive without doing shit... but they aren't gonna be ripped.. they are just big guys, large bone structure, just mass by genetics.

    See.. now thats better, that wasn't what he said.

    He said you HAVE TO lift heavy weights to get jacked.. incorrect.

    There are other ways to get pretty big without lifting weights, so no, HE wasn't right.
