As a body of beliefs they must continually adapt and evolve in order to survive a competitive cultural environment.

At a certain point it becomes impossible (and kind of silly) to explain earth science with ancient texts.

It’s like trying to apply the Constitution to the internet.

    Your avy fucking scares me.

I see what your saying! That's exactly right imo...when you leave it to man to imagine and establish righteousness for others, with his wicked heart, you get religion with man's carnal precepts to replace the one true living Mighty One's word/law.

Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Scientology, atheism, and paganism are all examples of belief sets that must evolve to keep up with the wickedness it creates for itself in generations past, only to be updated in the wake of it's folly.

For example, take the doctrine of the rapture in Christianity. Not too long ago it was not in no wise a fundamental doctrine taught. This evolved doctrine, twisted from the truth, teaches that the righteous (according to the religion) will *poof* vanish into the clouds in a wink of the eye, at the coming of the real Messiah. But as the world languishes away, and agendas branch out, new twists are called for to smooth and itch the ears of it's followers so that said agenda will go unseen by the blinded people holding to this new flavor of the day.

Rapture encourages disobedience to true living MOST HIGH.

One thing is for sure, the Word and nature of YAHUWAH does not change ever.

And the morel of the story

    Colossians 2:8

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Yahshua the Messiah.

not sure that an unalterable dogma is actually better than an adaptable set of beliefs.

HA. relligions with a foundational text dont and cant change due to the text.
thus why we dont believe in evolution.
    Facts change truth doesnt.
and yet evolution isnt even a fact but a theory. So ud rather grasp at anything you can to attept to deny ur conscience even further that God doesnt exist. without a sliver of proof to the contrary. and uve had 80% of the scientists and the last 6 centuries plus to do so.

maybe tell that to the pastors of your religion that present theory as fact that u swallow up with blind faith so u feel better about living on ur own terms being ur own God based on your own moral standard

this is one thing I miss about coup.

LOL, I don't belive in rapture, but you can show me if you want.

All are asleep in the ground, awaiting the last trump to be raised together.

    lol@ soul sleep

Scriptures teach we all return to dust to await the time apointed. But you can take a swing at changing the scriptures as they are written, hehe

the most ridiculous thing about this argument is that my main sin (according to your religion) is actually disbelieving your religion. i could convert so easily if i wanted to, in fact it would probably just give me more social opportunities if i did so (i live in the bible belt). i don't honestly do much that sinning, aside from the first 4 commandments, and i wouldn't have to be perfect but merely genuinely repentant when i mess up. the simple fact is that i can't convert to your religion because i can't stomach the bullshit.

you can be bitter but if you put at the end of each post "in meekness" you can do what you want.
